  1. We've been in 4119 and 4147 on the Pride and 4124 on the Miracle.. no noise issues. We love the 4k cabins for their size (having the couch is always a plus), deck 4 location, peek-a-boo view of the water and natural light.
  2. You just have to play the $25 through once and can cash out any paybacks. So, you could do 5 $5 spins or 25 $1 dollar spins, etc. and keep any proceeds from hits. Instead of slots, you can also take a $25 play-it-till-you-lose-it chip and play roulette or blackjack as well... bet it on black, for example.
  3. Our only real complaint about the food in our cruises in the year or so after the restart was with the steaks. Not the cook, but the quality of the meat - extremely tough and gristly, even fillets. Stopped ordering steak for a while, but got back into it a few cruises ago and all has been well. We're not foodies - we just look for satisfying meals (mostly from the MDR). All in all over the past year, I'd say 9 times out of ten our dishes fell between "better than decent" and "pretty darn good" with the remaining 1 out of 10 either being a miss or something so good we try to recreate it at home.
  4. one note on the spirit class (Legend) is that it is the favorite class among many, many Carnival cruisers (including us). If it was my choice, I'd take new ports + a spirit class ship. That being said, we've never had a cruise (Carnival or otherwise) we didn't enjoy. Of your choices, they look like four ice cream sundaes, one with a cherry on top!
  5. a couple other long shot ideas... it sounds like you could really benefit from an actual conversation with someone in the department that handled the issuing of the checks... 1) maybe John Heald or his assistant could provide you a relevant phone contact if you briefly explained the reason why... 2) you could try an end-around on LinkedIn... hundreds of Carnival employees listed there and I saw at least a couple refund related titles in a brief search... chances are extremely low that you could find someone directly to help you, but the idea is just to find someone who can give you the phone contact of someone who can help you...
  6. Not sure how much time has gone by... and this is a long shot idea.. but could you request (using your existing email thread to provide the context and explanation) an address change back to your correct address, have that second check cancelled and issue you a third correct check? You may, at least, find out if that second check was cashed in the process.. in which case you would know for sure it was a case of fraud...
  7. Damajagua Waterfalls... we hardly ever do anything twice, but we've done these twice...
  8. I think the major selling point of Park n Cruise is that it is at most a 5 minute walk from the garage to the terminal. I think you'd spend a lot more than 5 minutes in the terminal traffic just to drop off and get back out and back around to Park n Cruise - especially if you have an earlier arrival appointment.
  9. Yes for plat/diamonds. It's only on 5+ day cruises. Usually on the last sea day in the afternoon before dinner and lasts 30 minutes or so. Yes, usually a selection of champagne, wine and pretty stiff rum punches (and a blue drink - I'm not sure what it is). You can also order other common drinks from the servers. If you're in the mood to tie one on, it's usually pretty easy to do so (and grab one for the road...)
  10. Had this message for the first time from Carnival on embarkation day a few weeks ago... Hi There, Your cruise day has finally arrived! Please remember that you must bring your boarding pass in order to access the cruise terminal. Please click here to print or save (to your mobile device). See you soon! Thanks Carnival Cruise Line Does the bit about "save (to your mobile device)" mean you don't have to print anymore? I don't have use for a home printer anymore, so this would save a trip to the print shop before each cruise...
  11. Very much looking forward to your Jubilee live! If you take in the new show for Jubilee - I think it's called Dear Future Husband - I would love to hear your take... same for the new deck party (I think it's a deck party) called Lone Star Tailgate... oh, and if you try any of the Dr Inks specialty drinks, a thumbs up/down would be much appreciated!
  12. Indeed! One other note is that you don't actually have to sit down for brunch... you can just swing by the dining room reception desk anytime during brunch and they will hook you up with bar service and you can be on your merry way with drink in hand...
  13. Yes!... there's a water taxi company about 5 min walk from port caribewatersportbonaire.com/water-taxi/ that will take you out to No Name Beach on Kleine Bonaire for $25 rt pp. The...most incredible... shore snorkeling we've ever experienced. They also drop you for the 30-45min drift into the beach (if you want) for no extra charge... Aruba tends to be a long port day on most itineraries. We rented a car ($60 all in) and beach hopped (for snorkeling) the entire length of the island... from baby beach at the far southeast up to tres trapi (the three steps) in the northwest. We hit the Donkey Sanctuary for a non-beachy thing to do along the way and that was great fun (if you like donkeys, rescue cats and peacocks)... good organization run by good people for a good purpose...
  14. We were on the Pride twice last year, the first time immediately after it's dry dock. Love this ship/class. It's a small thing, but I really enjoyed the new carpeting in the public areas and especially in our cabin. One structural change was the bottom floor of the (formerly) 2-story nightclub was removed (I think in relation to the chef's table @jsglow mentioned above). We had previously enjoyed the quirky feel of Dr. Frankenstein's 2-level club on Miracle, but just missed out on the Pride's 2-story version. The casino drink service seemed normal as usual - a little hit and miss. Sometimes I could get 3 drinks inside 20 mins, other times it could take 20 min to get 1 drink from the time it was ordered. All in all, pretty good though...
  15. we had a 14 day journeys last year with a fresh menu every night... no repeats...
  16. never done a slot pull... but I like to watch them from afar... usually lots of interesting energy what i always wonder about is how they handle taxes for hand pays..
  17. We did this 8 day Dream itinerary in '22 and '23. The first time, like you, was to visit the Bahamas for our first time. We like Key West ok enough for a day visit... but Nassau and Freeport were a disappointment.. just not what we thought they would be. But Half Moon Cay (Little San Salvador Island) was exactly what we pictured as an idyllic Bahamian island. A top 5 all-time favorite port call for us. We liked HMC so much that we booked the same itinerary again for a second NYE Dream cruise, knowing that the day at HMC alone would be worth it for us. We just stayed on the ship for Freeport and Nassau the second time... the Dream being a solid ship to spend a port day on...
  18. Frankie Portera mc'd Quest on the Pride this past summer (lotsa people-watching laughs). He went out of his way to say how much enjoyed doing Quest and how it added a lot of flavor to his otherwise (relatively) buttoned-down week. He also added a bit where he encouraged folks to let Heald know if they liked Quest, as if there may be behind-the-scenes conversations at Carnival about the ongoing future of Quest. We enjoy Quest as another fun, late-nite entertainment option on Carnival...
  19. after many cruises I just recently "discovered" the soft taco side... delicious... my new lido deck favorite
  20. my go to order... 2 flamin' tomato soups, a parfait, side of bacon, side of hash browns and 2 regular orange juices...
  21. Well, Carnival asks for feedback specifically about the embarkation experience in it's post cruise surveys... so I gave it.
  22. Apologies for losing you... It is indeed needless, and pointless I'll add: Either the drug dog system works or it does not work effectively. If the dogs do work, people, who are not a part of drug culture, should have no issues and no *need* for the itemized challenge-response bag inspection or the head-to-toe body inspection (where the sun don't shine). If the dogs don't work, rousting 5% (or whatever the actual percentage was) of cruisers is not going to come close to solving whatever level of problem you perceive there to be. All you're doing is casting a wide net, playing a numbers game, where statistically you're catching roughly 1/20th of the problem at embarkation and leaving the other 95% (roughly) to walk on board, while, at the same time, *needlessly* rousting whatever extremely high percentage of folks who have no prohibited items. You could interrogate 100% of the ship at embarkation and really gum up the works for everybody and still not solve your perceived problem as the folks who really want to, will find what they want at a port of call. In either scenario, these interrogations are pointless and needless. Pot reeks. Let the drug dogs do their job in port. Let the dogs do their job on board to track the smell to its source. 100+ days at sea post-covid on Carnival. Exactly one 30 second whiff of pot..
  23. Not that we've experienced - Carnival in Galveston uses the facial recognition system for passport holders. Once across the gangway, we hardly have to break stride before getting back to our car. The one stop for the facial recognition is maybe 5 seconds... may be a different story for birth certificate usage?
  24. Sometimes you can click on the initially presented upgrade offer to see more cabin types available. For example, we have an offer to go from a bowling alley balcony to a regular higher-deck balcony for $44. That's all we see at first, but when we click the green "select & continue" button, two more options become available: a spa deck balcony for $184 and an aft balcony for $202. Also, the email alert received for the upgrade offer only mentions the regular balcony. So, sometimes (not always) there may be other cabin-types available other than the first one you see. Email alert looks like: Upgrade your Balcony stateroom to a higher deck and get closer to all the onboard activities. This offer is only available on a limited number of staterooms. Online you initially see just: UPGRADE YOUR Balcony ROOM Tip: Higher decks are always better Get faster, easier access to all the onboard fun Enjoy the convenience of staying closer to the pool, dining spots, Lido Deck, Promenade and more favorites Selected $ 44.00 But clicking thru the "select & continue" shows: Balcony Balcony staterooms were designed for maximum sea breeze and the most stunning views, so look to a balcony if you're looking to cruise aboard Carnival Breeze. Any time you're in your room, you're just steps away from your own personal outdoor oasis, featuring the sort of sea view you can also feel. Selected $ 44.00 Cloud 9 Spa Balcony Whether you're warming up for your spa appointment or winding down after your treatment, there's no better place to do it than on your Cloud 9 Spa Balcony. Breathing is important — take the ocean breeze in, then let it out — you're already getting the hang of the whole spa thing! Selected $ 184.00 Aft-View Extended Balcony Aft-View Extended Balcony staterooms feature a larger balcony for more lounge-around room, more kick-back space... not to even mention some of the best stern-side views you'll find anywhere. Get ready to relax as you gaze upon Carnival Breeze's gentle wake from your spacious balcony. Selected $ 202.00
  25. There is also an accessible version of the tour listed for $50/person: Tour happens on the last sea day of your voyage. See additional notes below. Most Carnival guests are aware that behind the scenes of their cruise vacation there’s a bustle of activity to deliver fun memorable experiences, but few have gotten an up-close look at these inner workings. Experience an array of “back of house” areas that are vital to a ship’s daily operations on our Behind the Fun Accessible Tour! Explore beyond the public areas with visits to the ship’s bridge, main galley, staff dining areas, and other spaces for a rare insider’s view of many areas typically seen only by the ship’s crew. Your tour will end after a video is shown of additional areas that are inaccessible to those using mobility devices and a Q&A session where you may ask questions you have always been curious about. The tour is extremely exclusive, offered only once during the cruise, on a sea day and is limited to only 16 participants. Led by our onboard Engagement Specialist accompanied by a member of our security team, you'll get to visit sensitive areas operated at elevated security levels. Tour participants will also be able to meet and interact with shipboard staff while visiting the different areas. What’s Included: Limited edition Behind The Fun baseball cap, identifying guests as Honorary Team members. Complimentary commemorative photos. Carnival branded goodies. Light snacks and pastries. NOTES Tour happens on the last sea day of your voyage. If there is only one sea day on your voyage, your tour will take place on that day. Please stop by the Carnival Adventures desk to collect your tickets. This tour is intended for guests with mobility disabilities. By purchasing Behind the Fun Accessible, you are attesting that you or someone in your party requires accessible tour due to a mobility disability. Falsification of your attestation can result in cancellation without a refund. Behind the Fun tour includes a few areas that are accessible only by stairs. As a result, these specific areas will be included in the video at the end of the Behind the Fun Accessible tour along with a Q&A session. For security reasons, no cameras, recording devices of any kind or cell phones are permitted on the tour. No bathing attire or skirts are permitted. Minimum age for tour is 8 years. Any guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The total tour, including check-in process, lasts approximately 2 hours but can vary by ship due to size of vessel.
