  1. Your best bet might be the Carnival transfer. This way they can debark and just sit in the bus while waiting for it to fill up.
  2. Just thinking out loud here, because I don't know how often you get free cabin offers, but is this the best bang for the buck for this one time free upgrade? You're already getting a free cabin, even if it is oceanview...is there ever a time where you might have to pay regular price for a cabin, and this way you can pay for the OV and upgrade for free to the balcony? Just a thought...there is no rush on using this offer, it doesn't seem to expire. I waited years to use mine. And yes, you do contact the diamond desk. I had booked and put money down on a balcony, and before I made final payment called to apply my upgrade. They just adjusted the price so that I was paying for oceanview (just make sure oceanview is not sold out, so they can apply the existing cost). Took almost $1000 off my original cost of a balcony, plus got to keep the balcony I had booked.
  3. Just put this cruise on hold, love its a cheaper price due to the small amount of ports, since I have to pay double as a solo and am not a gambler so don't get the deals lol. Can't wait for the Polynesian Islands, have been to Fiji on 3 land vacays but can't wait for that either. Heading to the Luminosa in Sept for the 30 day to Brisbane, so am excited to see the ship then. I was on the Splendor to Singapore and that was Oct. Ocean was perfect for our entire trip.
  4. Once onboard go check again and ask if you can be put on a waitlist.
  5. Yes, you do need to get the Indonesian visa yourself. You need to show it at embarkation. Recommend do it sooner rather than later and make sure you have a boat load of patience.πŸ˜›. Will also need to show proof of negative Covid test.
  6. Nice score on the cabin. :) I'll be on her 30 days to Brisbane, so looking forward to more!
  7. Yes, I remember that! It was really fun, waaay back in the old days lol - usually on a formal night, and they would have the Captain's Party or past guest party in the main theater with free drinks and apps. The live band would play and I always loved seeing all the couples come up on stage to dance, and back then it truly was formal... tuxedos and long gowns. Very cool. Loved it. Sadly no longer a thing.
  8. You can walk over to Bayside Market, nice place with restaurants, shops etc. Its on the marina and you can see the cruise ships there too. Its over by the Ferris wheel for reference. :)
  9. I've asked to speak to a manager just for the opposite - that someone was really awesome. Freaks them for a second until I say its a good thing. 😁
  10. I don't wait for my steward, unless I see him in the hall. Did he leave you his card? Just call that extension and someone will come pick it up.
  11. I didn't want to run into that; picked this up for my phone, have a 13 too. Magnet is super strong and has a paw print charge indicator. :) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09W956BJB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
  12. Reggie!❀️ She was on Celebration for my b2b in November...Never got to 15 on my Cheers so she got lots of drinks on me lol. Sweet gig being able to drink while you're working.😁
  13. When I cruised Splendor to Singapore, we had to surrender our passports too. Its not anything unusual.
  14. Those are nice, I remember seeing both in John Heald's video of the shop. Is your model going to be in the background of your videos? I personally would keep the version you have...might be easier to see, rather than the glass which could blend in? just my opinion 😊
  15. Probably shouldn't mention this, I did B2B when I turned diamond and I got the passport covers and letter for a free dinner on both cruises.😜 just a heads up - another decent perk for Diamond is the one time upgrade. I also booked the TP on the Luminosa (full price for me bleh lol) but I was able to book a balcony and pay for oceanview, so it was a good thing I had been saving it. I know you have a bunch of cruises booked - maybe one is worth applying it to.
  16. If he wants to be truly incognito, he needs to lose the monkey because it’s pretty noticeable. Just sayin’ πŸ˜‰
  17. I'm not a huge Disney fan, well, except for Tigger 😁. Looking forward to our Tokyo port stop on the Luminosa in Sept. Turns out Tokyo Disneyland is not that far away, so someone is setting up an excursion. Plus it will be so much fun for a change of pace; my 2 cruises this year are heavy on the historical aspects. And another great review!
  18. I stayed at the Hotel Colon across from this for the Horizon TA. Very cool little hotel with nice rooftop bar. One evening some street performers came out...not the usual guitar player, but opera singers - it was amazing in an area around the back of the church with the tall, narrow walkways - the acoustics were fabulous.
  19. holy hell, I can't imagine! Always impressed with carry on only. I like to shop too much lol.
  20. The cable car up to the top to see the Rock of Gibraltar and the monkeys was fun.
  21. I didn't pay attention to the soda because Carnival still had Coke onboard back then. But I hope for your sake they have good soda - I share your aversion to Pepsi. πŸ’€πŸ˜
  22. I did the Horizon TA from Barcelona - there's a duty free shop in the terminal, so I boarded and dropped off my stuff and went back out to shop lol. Then at the end I had 4 bottles of wine that I ended up not drinking and didn't feel like trying to take home, so my cabin steward was very appreciative.😊
  23. Sweet! I'll be in London 6/13 and boarding 6/18 so looking forward to this!
