    I know that most lines are trying to make savings but late and staggered boarding times is not one of them.

    Not as yet, but time will tell. If pricing does come down enough before they depart it may happen.

    Due to the forecast, we got off early before it got too hot. Had a bit of a thunder storm with some rain when we were out but it didn't last long. We had shelter in a Cafe, so all good.

    We have been ashore already and are back aboard. We had been to Montevideo previously so just did a self tour around the the old city and to the Cathedral and square, they had markets and such so a very pleasant morning.

    Make sure you do both sides of the falls, IMO the Brazilian side is best as you are lower and under them so to speak while the Argentinian side is up on top. I know it costs a bit for a Brazilian visa but considering what you are likely to be paying to get to the falls, it is worth it even for just a day visit.

    Pricing will need to fall if they want consistent bookings no matter how nice the ship is. Once people have tried it once they will return to cruising with the cheaper lines.

    Goodness, I should know by now but people are always amazing me at how selfish they can be.

    I'm sorry to hear how stressful you trip home was. we have boarded and we are here overnight, we do not plan on getting any cash Pesos here, the cards will work fine at a decent rate and USD works fine elsewhere.

    Just remember, for Australian cruises, just like anywhere else but a smaller populationto draw off, the crowd is going to be people who have time and money. That will make it an older demographic especially if it is a longer cruise out of school holidays.

    There was a storage place on Queen St, not sure if it is still operating

    Safe travels we have finally arrived at our hotel around 4pm local time, a 3 hr siesta and a meal and now ready for a good night's sleep.

    Flying again today, to Buenos Aires via Santiago. Getting closer.

    I am not sure what they would do except possibly keep the deposit

    That would be the right side or starboard side then. Go to the other side for port.

    Agreed, and a wonderful opportunity shop with souvenirs and lots of other handy stuff for travellers.

    if you are port side you will see sunsets as you go up the NZ coast
