  1. Tons of taxis. Doesn't get much easier, for MIA. Taxi to FLL would be one of the more expensive options. Uber or Shuttle would be the better option.
  2. Also look around the board. Someone did a 24 day "Live From" thread this summer, with tons and tons and tons of info.
  3. No. It just changed recently to a metered rate.
  4. The best place for your research would be the NCL board.
  5. A southbound cruise out of Seward or Whittier can ONLY go to Vancouver, to meet the requirements of the PVSA. It can't go to Seattle. In the same vein, trips from Seattle can NOT end in Seward or Whittier.
  6. Some excursions have limited capacities...helicopter trips are a prime example. How many other ships are in port? I wouldn't count on more slots opening up.
  7. Music Walk is the area where the Rolling Stone Lounge, BBKings and the Billboard piano area are.
  8. Depends a little on the rest of the itinerary...what are the other stops...that can vary on certain sailings. The logistics of getting to/from the airport are far more complicated at the north end.
  9. "Direct" or "non-stop"? That can be two different things. Yes, 11am out of FLL after disembarking in Miami is going to be a challenge, if for no other reason you will be arriving at FLL in the middle of the typically huge rush from Port Everglades as well.
  10. The three Pinnacle class ships have the full Music Walk. None of the other HAL ships have as expansive a Music Walk.
  11. If you read around this board a small amount, you will see many recommendations for shuttle and car services. SAS, QLS, Jiffy Jeff, GO Shuttle, Larry's Limos and a few others are mentioned here daily.
  12. Agree. Many discussions there on parking and everything else related to San Diego. The board is here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/
  13. I am not disagreeing about climate change. However, here in Northern California, from 2017 to 2021, we had some of the hottest and driest summers in history, with major heatwaves, and a lot of dry thunderstorms, causing historic wildfires. But this year we only had one shorter heatwave and almost no dry thunderstorms. A pretty mild fire season. So 2022 had absolutely NO relationship to 2021. As a firefighter (retired), we are required to know some about weather and patterns. Comparing this year to last, or this year to next before we get there, has very poor scientific basis. Yes, Europe has had some notable increases in temps, particularly in 2021 ( we were in Copenhagen this last summer, just before the major heatwave in July). But that really can't be a serious indication of next year's weather...at least not 6-9 months out.
  14. What the weather was like last August probably has nothing to do with what it will be like next August. The better idea is to Google search weather for a couple of your ports...try "August weather Copenhagen", for example. That will give you factual data, rather than anecdotal.
  15. The better place for this research is on the Cruise Air board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/77-cruise-air/ United is adding a non-stop from SFO to Rome next summer. I think the only non-stop from the west coast of the US.
  16. They will love the icebergs, if there is anywhere near as many as we saw this July.
  17. Yep...they definitely can. Last year's weather has nothing to do with this year's. You can Google search (try, for example, "Santorini August weather) for factual data, as opposed to anecdotal.
  18. As @Essiesmom, some special pricing or OBC don't allow combining with other OBCs. The stockholder's OBC has not been discontinued.
  19. The very common statement here about booking guarantees is book at the minimum level you will be happy at. If you did that, you got nothing to worry about.
  20. This is called a guarantee booking, or a " GTY booking". What category did you book into? Do you know anything about insides on HAL? I assume you took the GTY booking because it was cheaper, right? Yes, it's possible you could end up in the smallest, lowest level inside cabin. You consented to that when you accepted the booking option. If you booked a higher level inside GTY, you won't end up in the cheapest inside.
  21. Without providing the route/islands stopped at, we can't help you, without us having to look up the itinerary.
  22. An award seat is one purchased with miles or whatever reward currency that airline uses. For United it is "miles", other airlines have other names and earning systems.
  23. You don't have to use Verifly anywhere. We didn't on our 3 cruises this year, and didn't really have any hassles boarding.
  24. Yes, it could be cold, windy, and have rough seas. Or it may not. It's still early Spring in the Northwest, mid-Spring in San Francisco.
