NOW I have a problem with the new Suite policies
raudacruise replied to sixpackeddie's topic in Celebrity Cruises
OK, my breakfast delivered by the butler has always been from the door hanger menu. I did have one complication years ago. Ordered Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. They forgot the eggs. š -
NOW I have a problem with the new Suite policies
raudacruise replied to sixpackeddie's topic in Celebrity Cruises
In my 2023 RS cruises Iāve had unlimited laundry. (Confirmed with the butler at the beginning of each cruise. Could indeed be a āruleā stretch.) Apparently the 2x rule started when some abused the laundry amenity by including laundry from friends in other cabins. Back to Sky Suites: Not knowing when room service will arrive (promptly or 30-45 min) is inconvenient when I need to be on time for a shore excursion. Breakfast from the butler has always been on time. -

NOW I have a problem with the new Suite policies

I look forward to your feedback. Corner aft is a favorite spot for me so I would love to be shown Iām worrying for no good reason. And I can accept āsomething less than the best.ā -
NOW I have a problem with the new Suite policies

After watching Zachās YouTube video thereās no way Iād ever book a Sky Suite with a ābutler teamā instead of a dedicated butler. Thatās a shame because the corner aft Sky Suites are lovely. -
Zenith access to Retreat Lounge
raudacruise replied to TrueCruiseaholic's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I like to meet and introduce myself to the senior officers. I wear a mask because of the crowd and don't get my picture taken. (I run away from cameras.) Not a Zenith. Maybe someday, maybe not. -
Thank you for your review. Just had my first Alaskan cruise in June (RT from Seattle). Weather wasnāt good, but still enjoyed the glaciers and whales. Had two good balcony days, wrapped up in four blankets, warm as toast. But couldnāt sit out in the rain. Had sunshine in Ketchikan of all places (usually rains constantly) and Skagway. Had two tours cancelled including a helicopter trip to walk on a glacier. Considered booking the same cruise again to try for the helicopter tour again until I read someoneās comment that in six trips to Alaska, his helicopter tour was cancelled every single time. Should note that my other cancelled tour (seaplane to Taka lodge) was replaced with small boat whale watching led by a scientist, my favorite activity of the entire cruise. So Iāll try for a helicopter tour again, but a different cruise with a land portion seems ideal. Should have lots of highlights. Iāll be following with interest.

Fantastic view and a porthole window. The porthole really brightens up the room. Booked this suite several times. Only stubbed my toe on The Pole once. I like the idea of fairy lights.š§āāļø

Didnāt know what the big deal was until we did full transits years ago. First Mercury, then Infinity. Absolutely loved it. (I did my homework and read āPath between the Seasā beforehand.) In recent years have had three bookings cancelled but Iām determined to cruise there again. Love longer cruises and Sea Days. No Edge class for me, want to transit the old locks, look more interesting than the new. BTW have done the partial transit Shore Ex twice. Enjoyed the first one, the second was just dreadful. Not booking again.

Anyone stayed in the Infinity PH recently?
raudacruise replied to chemmo's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Thanks so much for your thoughtful response. Itās given me the nudge I needed to start looking for my PH. No more āsome dayā. Iām glad your āfirstā cruise is with loved ones. I sailed alone and vividly remember wanting to say āLook at that!ā and no one to hear me. Itās so true that no one knows what tomorrow will bring. DH was gone three weeks after his cancer diagnosis. āTo making it count!ā šø -
Anyone stayed in the Infinity PH recently?
raudacruise replied to chemmo's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Our very first Celebrity cruise was in the Summit PH, a special treat. It was magical. DH has been gone 10 years. I plan on sailing in a Millennium class PH again. (Iād actually prefer pre-refurb just for nostalgia.) Iāll toast DH on the amazing veranda, our favorite hangout. Iāll be solo, but thatās OK. -
Spectromen, have you checked out the ReliefBand? Itās an anti-nausea electronic wristband originally designed for pilots. I have the rechargeable Sport model (the dial is similar to the Classic). Not cruising without it. I also use it for flying, windy roads, boat rides and action movies. http://reliefband.com The Main Dining Room is indeed open for breakfast before they kick you off. They start really fussing at about 9:00 if you are still on the ship. My first Alaskan cruise is also the Dawes Glacier in June.

One and done with NCL. Sailed on NCL Spirit years ago. Itās a smaller ship, no Haven. Suite was nice, butler and cabin attendant were great, but they were both planning to quit. Service ship-wide was lacking. Staff seemed unhappy and indifferent. Didnāt like your meal? Waiter didnāt care. Food was sub-par. Canāt comment on entertainment, have never been to the theater on any ship. No such thing as a bad cruise? Nope. Couldnāt wait to leave the ship.

4-2-N-8, your S.O. should check out the Reliefband (reliefband.com or Amazon), an anti-nausea electronic band originally made for pilots. I can get sick watching television. I use it for cruises, flying, boat rides, windy or bumpy roads and action movies. I started with the early āClassicā model years ago. Now I have the rechargeable āSportā model. Dramamine (knocks me out) and Bonine help me some but not enough. Havenāt tried this, but supposedly helps hangovers too.šøšøšø
