@dfishThanks for the air fryer BBQ chicken recipe. I switched to wings and thighs but they turned out perfectly. Everyone loved them.

The doctor had changed my reflux pill, so I am hoping that by the time we leave I will be able to swallow at least small Tylenol pills. I am missing my bedtime dose, and I really don't want to have to take everything as liquids in my suitcase. (Especially if my suitcase isn't going to make it.)
If you do need to take liquids with you, see if your doctor will write a prescription for them. Then you can pack it in your carry-on. They did that for my large tube of fluoride toothpaste. (Glad I for once read before I posted. Fluoride was changed to flounder😳)

I almost missed today’s postings with the title change! But I knew it had to be there. It’s a triple play at our house today with the addition of DH’s birthday. Unfortunately with my limited mobility his celebration dinner is Costco lasagna. I did put it in the oven all by myself 🥰. Canned peaches and green salad will finish the meal. I will owe him a lemon meringue pie. Take care everyone and have a good week.

Happy Sunday everyone. I sort of can’t believe how easy the days have been since surgery (but don’t want to jinx it). Managed a shower today which was nice. Tomorrow is the 1st PT appointment so hope it goes well. Take care everyone.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words. Slept well but a couple of strange pains. The nurse called to check on me and said they’re normal. Now I just need the patience to get through the next few weeks.
@rafinmdIt might be good to get an x-ray for comparison. Wish I had done it earlier.
Have a great day everyone.

Thanks everyone for the healing good wishes. At the hospital by 5:45 am and home by 4 which included a ferry ride. Surprised at how easy it’s been so far. Reminding myself to take it easy!

I've seen a site called rail ninja. Does anyone know if it's a safe place to buy rail tickets from. Thanks.

Well, today went downhill fast. After having had to reschedule my pre-surgery appointment from a couple of weeks ago because DGD tested positive, today was the day-not quite what the hospital wanted but the 1st available appointment. At 8:29 am I receive a call from the clinic that they've canceled my appointment because the doctor isn't available. And no, they aren't able to reschedule me with anyone. 😬 Our local clinic contracts with Kaiser but isn't officially Kaiser facility. I was close to a Kaiser office by then (in Seattle) so stopped in and after searching the entire Puget Sound area finally found an opening for Monday afternoon. I certainly didn't want the Wednesday surgery postponed! I think my blood pressure is finally back to normal. Hope everyone is having a better day than this. (Rant over-thanks)

Any way to make it smaller?

@dfishNo wonder you were in pain if the surgeon called it nasty. Hope you have a good night and a better tomorrow.

Great close-up of the Island Princess. Saw the gray shirt, pink shirt and backward baseball cap. Have a great cruise!

We're planning to take the train from Rome to Florence and back in November. Is one train company preferred over another? And can US citizens use the senior fare offered on some of the trains? Lastly, is it worth the time to take the slow train either to or from Florence? Thanks for your help.

@dfish Ever notice how nice it is to lean a bit on the shopping cart? The back doesn't ache quite as much? Yes, shopping carts are walkers for those of us in denial.
Have you been spying on me?

@USN59-79As a Washington resident you can order covid tests every month from the state.

@USN59-79A fun thing to do is use a vinegar bottle and grow a cucumber in it. When it's time to pick the cucumber, boil some vinegar and add some fresh dill. Fill the bottle and put the lid on it. It's amazing the explanations people can come up with on how the pickle got in the bottle. DH used it in his 2nd grade class for years.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. I don't want to jinx myself but other than the stuffy nose/slight headache, I feel ok. No ambition but that's not unusual. DGD tested negative yesterday so she's happy to get out of jail. Chocolate chip cookies are much better without the chocolate chips but oatmeal raisin cookies are the best. Have a great week.

Transfers? You mean from the airport to the hotel? I’m not sure those are offered with Aeroplan - must check. I’m happy to get the business class - especially travelling alone.
Oops, sorry I wasn't very clear. Transfer any remaining points/miles to your account. We just received miles from a friend's account who passed away last September. His family was very generous to the friends.

Thanks Everyone! I realized a few minutes ago that I did dodge another bullet. Our Volendam cruise was cancelled for the refugee housing. We were suppose to be on an airplane to Amsterdam yesterday😲. That would have been most unfortunate!

Well rats! I'm now a statistic among the Covid positive ranks. DGD has had it for a week but even masking and keeping our distance it wasn't enough. The only good part of this is that all my pre-op in-person appointments are just over 2 weeks away so surgery should still happen. DH will pick up the medication in an hour. Phooey!
@kazuIf you have airline mileage plans, be sure to contact them for transfers too.

@USN59-79Were you at Safeway or Fred Meyer 😊? Both places drive me nuts because it's so complicated you're never sure if you received the proper sale price!

@Cruising-alongAt the moment ours is set to start when the temp. reaches 82 but as it warms up more I usually change that to 78. And I'm a wimp too-anything over about 72 is getting too warm for me.
