  1. Hope we get to see it again when we return to Florida in September. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the update!
  2. Did you see it at night? That was when it was more dramatic...the lighting was really wild. My least favorite was Hideaway Heist. Felt like a trip to Disney Land. Just silly.
  3. Hoping for your continuing mend back to full health. Bucky had his almost 3 weeks...long...long time to have a cold. He was miserable. Not a great way to start our summer up here. 😞 He is feeling better now, and just returned from a nice kayak around the lake we are staying on. Yes, we have been to Acadia many times. Actually preferring the north part of Acadia (near where we stayed the first 3 weeks). The Schoodic Penninsula loop. It's just as beautiful, but far less crowded. Took the ferry from Winter Harbor over to Bar Harbor to walk around a bit and a nice lunch. We were a little bit closer to the Hubbard glacier, due to going there in August...which was a warm August. Quite a bit of calving going on as well. Pretty dramatic.
  4. OP: Most important thing...arrive at your assigned check in time. Things will go much smoother if everyone did. We have a new system now. Since I prefer parking inside the garage...we arrive early to drop off luggage with porters to score one of those parking spots, then leave our carry on bags in the vehicle. Walk over to Grills for a couple of delicious Bloody Marys to enjoy on the deck. Then we walk back to collect our carry on bags, and saunter down for our check in time. Easy Peasy...walk right in. And of course mood is slightly better to deal with crowds as well by that time. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜„
  5. I miss "Fine Line". They only had it for a short time...loved it. Probably staff shortages...or costs. Not sure.
  6. After restart...and rescheduling a bunch of formerly cancelled cruises....I had a list of 8 of them I did all at once. Was simply a matter of sending the list with ships, dates, and reservation numbers all on one page. No big deal. It helps me not to forget, if I apply as soon as I book. I just consider it a part of the booking procedure. I have "just a few" booked for the future as well. Some cruises a bit longer than others. πŸ˜‰
  7. All you had to do was pay a visit to the LA on board. I am sure, you probably know that already however, since you have your 653 points. So this would be FYI for others that may not be aware. Do keep in mind the amenities are drastically reduced on any cruises under 7 days.
  8. We live near cruise ports....but 70-80% of our booked cruises involve flights to elsewhere. πŸ˜‰
  9. Not as much as it was when masks were mandatory on the ships.
  10. The one deck I would never book is deck 14. Directly under the pool deck...ugh...noisy. Decks 11 and 12 are the ones I target.
  11. I always add the stock OBC as soon as I book. And have cruises out to 2024. They always send me an updated email confirmation with OBC listed on each one.
  12. Last two weeks in March out of San Juan. Which does not attract a lot of upper tier anyway.
  13. We have two remodel projects going at our house as well. All being done while in Maine this summer. πŸ˜‰ We don't cruise in the summer anyway. As to subject of this thread...First and only inside cabin was our first cruise in the 80s I think it was. Never again, felt like living in a cave. Not for us.
  14. We couldn't figure out why they had the Pinnacle lounge open on EX during our B2B with just 11...then 10 the next week. At least they finally closed it earlier in the week on leg two we were on.
  15. Same thing we noticed during the last few HOS cruises. Pinnie Lounge was empty. Sad for the waiters in there. We would go in for a drink just to give them someone to talk to...but the best thing was easier access to the LA. She was in there every night...much more relaxed for her as well.
  16. Yum! I started drinking Vodka Sours...after trial and error on EX to expand my horizons. Bruno the bartender...best ever! πŸ˜‰
  17. I think we stopped in there once to check it out...but mostly just used the bar in the VCL. EX had a Pinnie lounge set up in the library as well when we were on in March...but with only 11 of us on first week, and just 10 the next...they finally shut it down. No one went in there. Felt sorry for the lone bartender in there and all that wasted food.
  18. Indeed there was good and bad on that cruise....but the good was the MDR staff we both enjoyed, and most especially the bartenders/waiters in the VCL. Though the best ....was finally getting to meet both of you in person! πŸ˜‰
  19. Me...me...me...me!! I DO love a good bar stool!! πŸ˜„ Happy to see them back again. Missed them during post Covid start up. 😞
  20. LOL...well since we received that lovely invitation to join you...how could we refuse?? πŸ₯° Though we did go right back to our favorite bar stools in the VCL after you both left. πŸ˜‰ Bruno, head bartender, at VCL bar was hilarious. Miss him. He helped me discover my new favorite drink after some trial and error. So I am now off the old and tired "Gin and Ts" Your bro still loves them. πŸ˜„
