RC Assigned Check-in Time - Flexable?
island lady replied to susanf31's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I also live there locally. I made sure to adhere to my check time. Inside that terminal (luckily there was cover from the sun) we witnessed "cattle gate holding pens" that were labeled with your assigned check in times as we dropped our luggage with the porters. We had 11 am check in time. We were let in during our time as soon as we walked up, but there were unhappy pax still standing in those pens as we walked right past. BTW: Those were obviously the pax that tried to come in before their assigned time. Do you really want to chance waiting in one of those for 3 hours? In the heat, with no place to sit down? You live in PC...so do what I do. Drive to the port a half hour before your check in time. You can relax at home in the A/C until then. As previous poster mentioned "Don't be one of those". And....yes, I have cruised out of PC seven times in the last six months. I just may have a little first hand experience. It was always the same situation. You asked for opinions. You got them.- 87 replies

You will have matching perks of a Diamond on your Indy cruise...but won't be actually Diamond until you reach the 80 point level with RCI. So if you have made 80 points during your Indy cruise...you won't be officially Diamond until your next RCI cruise following that. Points on both lines have to be earned on the separate lines. Perks match occurs with Elite to Diamond...but no further up on status until points made on each. For example: I am Pinnacle on RCI...but will only be perks of an Elite member on Celebrity until I earn the points actually on Celebrity to elevate status.

Six times for me as well....and going again as soon as we get back from our summer stay up here in Maine. 😉 Then, a couple of weeks later...cruising on replacement Wonder for four weeks.....actually will be on board when she comes into port for her first official visit/welcome/new home port into PC. 🤗

I get a kick out of the huge diesel boat motor that pushes the end around. 🙂 -

Always love walking across that bridge. And even more fun to get "stuck" on it. 🙂 -

Nah...those are not Lobster...they are warm water tail large "crawfish". 😉 This was yesterday. Watched them pull them up from the boat at the end of the dock, steamed up fresh for us at their open air dock restaurant here in Maine. -

All pax in the DL on every ship have to use their vouchers to get a "free" drink now. That was part of the new system when the vouchers came out. It was intended as a way to alleviate the crowding in the DL...and it's working. -

We use our vouchers...and do not "sit for hours". We simply sit for one ride, ( you can't leave while it is in motion anyway) and one drink, just for the novelty. One of our "bar crawl" favorites. -

Yup, I remember that happy face Laura was wearing after she left there with that new Peacock ring. Beautiful! 🥰 Then we forgot to leave the bridge on time and went for a ride...good times! -

Rising Tide has become one of our favorite before dinner drink venues on Harmony. Our vouchers have always worked. -
Yes, do check out the WJ for the art work they will have at the entrance. Some creative carvings, mostly at night. The crew member reminding everyone to wash/sanitize their hands..... are always comical as well, and love to interact with the kids.

They still do the same thing in the WJ....I liked it when it was no self serve after start up due to Covid restrictions. Normal portions served to pax, and always could go back for more if they were still hungry. Really people...do you really think you have to "eat your money's worth"...geeez what a waste....not to mention..."waist". 😮

That was my point. Testing needs to go away. They don't test you when you board the plane and sit packed in like sardines on your way to the cruise...heck they don't even wear masks on the plane or in the terminal any longer. Get Vaxxed, get boosted...protect yourself. Cruise lines obviously need to CYA to be sure you are fully vaxxed, so they are not dealing with cases on board that would be more serious if you were not vaxxed. But the testing is so obviously flawed.
