  1. They stopped doing the belly flop in the Aquatheatre a few years ago because of liability concerns as the pool has several niches where the divers hang out and the fear was that a guest could get stuck under there. It was a much better venue, really wish they could find a way to hold it there again
  2. Suites and Pins first. RCI transfers are set in a separate group. How you answered the survey on departure method
  3. This change to early dining in all dining rooms and having MTD now starting at 6:45 has really affected MTD. They should change the name of MTD to late or later dining. I know many people who took MTD so that they could have options. They generally like to eat early however there may be a few days depending on the port/excursion where they wanted a later dinning time. With this change they are now forced into eating at a specialty restaurant or the buffet. Personally I think that Royal should just scrap early and late and go exclusively to MTD and adding options to the website to select table size and if the same time dining is booked for the week then they get assigned to the same table. This new system that they have started clearly is not working.
  4. I'd call back. There have been lots of times where I get a different answer even in dealing with resolutions agents.
  5. You are 100% mistaken on that. This is from the FAQ's that were issued regarding the latest gratuity increase. 10. Are all guests required to pay gratuities? Gratuities are at the discretion of each guest. Such guidelines serve as a recommendation to assist guests in expressing their gratitude for the outstanding service that our crew provides. The daily gratuity is shared among dining, bar & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants and other hotel services teams.
  6. Newer ships allow you to unlock your stateroom door with your phone.
  7. I'm using the same photos we used in 2019 and haven't had a photo retaken at the pier in the 5 cruises since then, all at different ports.
  8. Cruising power is Royals website for travel agents. Much more reliable than their consumer website.
  9. Tasted that same tooth dust on Tuesday. Broke a tooth (filling that was the back third of the tooth sheared off) on our Baltic cruise and had a scheduled appointment for a cleaning the day after we got back and he was able to fix it then. Glad it didn't hurt as I really didn't want to deal with it in one of the Baltic ports.
  10. I go every 2 months. Insurance stops covering about 2/3 of the way through the year but I just pay out of pocket for the last few visits
  11. No one can give you any reassurances that things will not change in the future. All you can hope for is that Royal does the right thing and if you booked and met all the requirements at booking then if things change they should honor a refund.
  12. Depending on how far out the sailing is Cruising power automatically defaults to a preset number of days for a hold. It can be 1,2, 7 or other number of days. TA's also have the option in most cases to extend this however they do not have the option to change what is initially set by Royal
  13. You just need the reservation that it was issued from and they can find the FCC. No way to find it online unless you booked through a TA then they can look it up.
  14. I'd try C&A first. You may actually need to call post cruise guest relations. It will need to be the grandfather that calls
  15. No. Its for cruises departing on or after Sept 7
  16. Any Oasis class ship - better entertainment - adult comedy club - more specialty dining - more free dining options - two flowriders - aquatheatre - better job spreading people out over the ship
