  1. I vote based on my last post C19 cruises SB: 4.9, Scenic 5.3, Regent 5.5
  2. It is the new CC rating system, just introduced now. Everyone please pick a random decimal number between 1.0 and 6.0, your vote counts, No rigged elections on CC we all are honest.
  3. and why no plug in the bathroom for the hairdryer not unique to Regent - one thing Scenic got right
  4. Scenic Eclipse has a lot of very good things going for it (including many ex-Seabourn crew), unfortunately the ship design, while stunning from afar, has multiple issues.
  5. Flying out of LAS now and previously from SLC we always get hit with the non-gateway airport despite the fact that there are nonstop flights to AMS, LHR and from SLC to CDG. West jet code shared with Delta has nonstop to Vancouver. Not sure the qualifications to be a gateway, maybe volume of ships pax from that location?
  6. We have taken an Uber to and from the port of MIA so would guess it would be the same for FLL. You can always try to schedule from the app and see if it recognizes the port.
  7. Having been on Grandeur over Christmas I agree some service issues, and not just in CR but also in Chartreuse but Jorge is well aware of them and let us know he is actively working to resolve them.
  8. Miami Airport is definitely not a flyer friendly place. Have to walk 20 minutes from gate to luggage carosoul and still wait 20 minutes. Arrive on an international flight walk 10 minutes to US Customs then another 5 minutes to wait on a line to recheck baggage.
  9. We cleared the waitlist list for the Grandeur Christmas Panama Canal cruise last year several months before final payment was due.
  10. We contribute to the crew fund, helps everyone. On our Grandeur cruise as we were leaving the last day the butler who honestly had done nothing special at all for us came running after us and when it was clear we were not passing him some $ quickly and abruptly left. Totally different than on our other 2 Regent cruises. All Inclusive to me means that.
  11. Having now done 3 Regent cruises I can agree with some of the OP's comments, especially the laundry from day 1, the dining choices and selections, and the multiple self-service coffee machines which I thought actually make better coffee than what you get in SB Square. And at the coffee connection you can order your coffee and have a seat and it will be brought to you or just sit and someone will take your order instead of standing in a line. There are some other advantages to Regent including padded lounge chairs, a good sized walking track and multiple deck sports including a pickleball court. That said, only 3 or 4 crew ever knew our names, one being our butler, no interactions with Officers other than on the previous cruise on the Grandeur the Captain did walk around to the various bars at night and talk to pax, but not on the Splendor which we disembarked from last Monday. Passing him in the staircase I barely got a returned good morning. When boarding Seabourn you are typically met by the CD and maybe a few officers. Same for disembarking. Never met the CD on the Grandeur nor Splendor and no officers to welcome us on or bid us farewell, most times at the end of a Seabourn cruise the Captain is at the gangway. Destination services on Regent are not overly helpful (there was a whole thread on the Regent board awhile ago about that), and guest services are not particularly friendly, as if you are troubling them to help you. I do like that the General Manager has an office opposite reception so you know where to find him should you need to.
  12. Their website is very poor. Tried to update profile and just get totally uninformative error messages.
  13. We were on Grandeur over Christmas and it was Intercontinental now on Splendor and was Hyatt Coral Gables, don't know if it matters but both times we booked a PH category. Reading how others got much better hotels especially for what we paid for the Grandeur PH A doesn't make me a in a rush to run back.
  14. Left from Miami twice, first time took the the bus from the Hyatt and had to claim our luggage, which was on a different bus that arrived close to when we did and take it to a porter who had his hand out for a tip. Next time, from the Intercontinental took an uber w/ our luggage and was glad as the line for the bus was utter confusion. Wendy, how does Regent deal with the pick up your luggage when you are not on the bus but give them the luggage and no porter is getting a tip?
  15. We buy an annual policy that covers all trips, land and cruises.
  16. Agree that on Crystal you either are crystalized (I guess that means drink the kool aid or not, despite my garage being bigger than the "suite" we had) or not. we ARE NOT! And the biggest cheerleader, still waiting to see his skirt and pompoms on that board who gets $ from Crystal apparently to post must have nothing else in his life to do than write 6 paragraphs every hour touting Crystal. Sad... Lots of good except for the pitiful size of a room that on Seabourn, Regent, Scenic etc. for the price would have ben 100 sq foot larger for that price. And if a first timer no one wants to associate with you. First question we were asked: how many Crystal cruises have we done? Naw Seabourn and Regent MUCH more friendly pax.
  17. Stayed at the Marina first time - one and done. Next time we stayed at the Edition, great in so many ways. Probably the only place I would stay at again.
  18. Considering a cruise with both options 3 day pre or post would appreciate any one who has done either's takes.
  19. About that 16 night level... We have an upcoming cruise longer than 16 nights and as per documentation from Regent there are no formal nights. A bit confusing IMO.
  20. Million miler on DL, Marriott (formerly Starwood) something or another tag for living in their hotels. None on my bags either but Seabourn Diamond tag on my laptop case that never leaves my sight.
  21. I see all the "all inclusive" marketing propaganda of Silversea but I have not seen any reference to included laundry, unlike on Regent where it is. I can and will unpack my luggage but do not want to visit a laundry room, am I missing something?
  22. Can you clarify, excursions are included but are you saying you booked upcharge ones, similar to how Regent does it?
