Slot Pull: Questions on how to organize

And if you advise a casino manager in advance and he helps select the machine, don't you think that he is going to persuade you to a machine that has the lowest odds of paying out, or that the machine he suggests will be tightened up a little bit more than usual and lower the odds of paying out??? Just saying.

Dumb idea! They know which slots are set at.

If I'm the organizer of the slot pull I use my cruise card in the machine and make sure that there is no $ on the card. The last one that I did without thinking I withdrew my card to put into the bag with other cards to be drawn out and the $ on the machine was automatically put on my card. Everyone chuckled when this happened.

If you wind up with winnings to split with other people you take your card to the cashier cage and they will cash it out.

We are doing a 4 day cruise next week. Just a question about slot pulls. We have 13 in our group and thinking of doing one. Do you have to use your Cabin card to play? Yes, you have to use your cabin card to get the money out of the machine. No cash is dispensed from the machine. The "winnings" go on your card. Do they cash out winnings in cash or to a cabin card? No cash; the money goes go on your card which you then take right over to the Cashier window and tell them you want to cash out your card. Thanx

I know this is an old thread, but could you send me the spread sheet please?

suzyed at aol dot com

Thanks!

Susan,

I do still monitor this site. Just got back from a 35 day trip and cruise in S. America. I have somehow lost all my email capability and so cannot send you the information until I get that resolved.

I came hone on Thursday and have been sick so not sure when I will feel like trying to get my issues resolved. Will send it as soon as I can.

Thanks

Thanks for responding....

We are leaving on the 16th of April and by sharing your info on how to do a Slot Pull, I was able to convince one of our fellow cruisers to organize it on our sailing.

I thought it would be helpful to have the spread sheet....so if you are up to it before we sail, I would appreciated you sending it.....

Thanks so much!!!

I have just sent you all the information via email.

Does anyone have recommendations on machines beside Wheel of Fortune? Seems like on many ships, the Wheel of Fortune machine is the only one that takes 3 $1 coins at a time. And it is always exiting when someone gets to spin the Wheel. Do we put all the money in the machine at once or individually when its your turn? The individual put in their own money as it is their turn.

Hope this helps

Ann, please send me a copy of your spreadsheet for our October Hawaii cruise. This will be my first time organizing a slot pull, so I need all the help I can get :D. I did just read through the 30 pages of this thread, very helpful.

Thanks,

Thanks to Ann I have hosted many slot pulls. I collect all of the money once everyone has arrived, $15 each, & then we exchange all of the bills for large bills & feed them into the machine. I have been lucky & find someone to keep track on the spread sheet.

I've always used the Wheel of Fourtune Machine as for $15 everyone gets 5 spins & it's exciting when someone gets the right combination & the Wheel of Fortune wheel spins at the top. Adds a lot of excitement for everyone.

Rita,

Since I currently have several cruises booked and are taking names for each Slot Pull, I need to know which cruise you are on. Please email me at cruzqueen@verizon.net and title it Slot Pull so I will not think it is trash.

Thanks
