What a great idea! Hope someone can start a Captain's list. I'm not cruising again until the spring and several friends and I want to sail again with Captain Loekling and Keith Williams. That was the cruise where we had the most fun. We are trying to figure out when to book to get that crew. RCI has told me that Captain Loekling will be on the Sovereign as of the 10/3/05 cruise but, of course, couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me beyond that. What's the big secret about when a captain is going to be on? They say for security reasons. I'm pretty new at this, is the captain's safety really an issue?

I agree. A captain's list would be very helpful. There are certain captains I like to sail with too. Would love to have a heads up when they're going to be on board.

We just returned from the Grandeur and Ashley Kerr was there. I have moved Carley Boileau to the Explorer so now we need a report from someone as to who is on the Sovereign. We were parked next to it on Friday but I couldn't see over there through the rain.

 

I know that Peter Benfield was on The Jewel on 9/12 because we debarked from there that day. He told me that he was only there for a short time and was going to the Brilliance directly from there. Does anyone have any further updates on that? Some of our data is still from July and before so we need updates on the Splendour, Rhapsody, Empress, & Legend. I'm going on the Legend in 11 days so I'll get an update then but would like to know in advance.

We were on the Splendor May 21 cruising and Rico was still the CD. We were also told that that the staff on borad would continue until the ship returned to the states....

As of 15. Oct. 2005 Cruise Director on Brilliance was Peter Benfield.

 

He is leaving Brilliance shortly after bringing her over the Atlantic because she is not his normal ship.

He is only there to prepare and do the crossing on her. At least that's what he said on the last evening of our Med.-Cruise last weekend.

 

I'm trying to find out who will take over from him on that crossing.

I hope you enjoyed your crossing on the Legend. We had a miserable embarkation for our 3 night Med.-cruise in Barcelona because of a strike of local fisherman.

Hope that I'm going to have some great days on the upcoming Transatlantic.

Just got off the Legend yesterday and Gordon Whatman was there but not for long. He will be back on the Radiance soon but I neglected to get an exact date.
