Clarea Posted December 12, 2013 #3101 Share Posted December 12, 2013 Also I was wondering if it there were DVD Players in the rooms. I love movies and was wondering if it would be possible to bring DVD's to watch before bed. This is my first cruise and just trying to get all the information I can before going. Thanks again to any responses. DVD players are only in the highest level suites. Not sure exactly what level they start at, but definitely not in any stateroom less than a Grand Suite. InsideCruiser Posted December 12, 2013 #3102 Share Posted December 12, 2013 You can also smoke at the pool bar. Thanks for the responses. Ocean Views went on sale for $20/pp more than we paid for our Insides. So we moved from Deck 10 to Deck 2. So now we're smoking on Deck 4 which looks pretty straight forward. stevea36 Posted December 12, 2013 #3103 Share Posted December 12, 2013 Hi, I am going on the EoS in February and was wondering how the Casino works. Do you need cash or is it done on your Room Card like purchases on the ship. I am trying to determine how much cash I need to bring with me and wasn't sure how this worked. Thanks for any information. You use cash in the casino. Your sea pass is used as your casino loyalty card. Steve

avatheps Posted December 14, 2013 #3105 Share Posted December 14, 2013 So the question still has not been answered. Can it be gotten on ship?? There have got to be beer drinkers here who the package is to much for, and has tried to buy a bag on the ship. Please we(allboys27 & myself) need to here fom you desperatly. We want to buy a bag, and not tie on. :) I just returned from The Explorer so this info is fairly current. I saw the pails of various beers offered several times as special promotions, but always in pails, never in bags. The only place I saw beers in bags was on one of the islands and I do not remember where it was. No matter where, be prepared for sticker shock except in a couple of off the beaten track Lolos. Shar27 Posted December 14, 2013 #3106 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Thanks for the quick replies. This site has been so helpful since booking my first cruise! You can withdraw cash on your sea pass card from the casino, but they will charge you a 5% service fee.

Thanks for the information, don't think I will use that though. I think I will be donating enough to RCC with the gambling I don't want to give an extra 5%. :):)
Arzeena Posted December 15, 2013 #3108 Share Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) Anybody have any cabin pictures? E1 category? looking for 9542, 9044 or 9544? What is the major difference between D and E categories besides the 10 inches in width? Edited December 15, 2013 by Arzeena

I was on the Explorer earlier this month and someone had written in on Talking Turkey asking about popcorn. Leigh said that what happens is that most of the popcorn winds up on the floor and it takes too long to clean up after every screening

Ocean Boy Posted December 25, 2013 #3117 Share Posted December 25, 2013 (edited) We've never seen popcorn on any Royal ship. I remember in the past talk about popcorn being available at one time on some of the ships that had the Sports Bar on the Promenade. It sticks in my head because the discussion was about how they were charging a dollar a bag for the stuff. This was quite some time ago now. Oh, and Merry Christmas to you! :) Edited December 25, 2013 by Ocean Boy
NanaL Posted December 25, 2013 #3118 Share Posted December 25, 2013 Hope this will help those that find they need cash while on their cruise. You can cash a personal check for up to $200.00 at guest relations desk. Linda

avazah Posted December 25, 2013 #3120 Share Posted December 25, 2013 Any idea how long after the actual cruise over christmas they keep the decorations up for? We are sailing on Jan 5th, so I am assuming they will already have been taken down, but my buddy sailing with me asked. :)

Shar27 Posted December 26, 2013 #3123 Share Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) We've never seen popcorn on any Royal ship. They actually served popcorn at the midnight deck party in November. They also had flavoured icee's. Edited December 26, 2013 by Shar27

itsmecarrie Posted December 26, 2013 #3125 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Has anyone ever stayed on deck two? Never stayed that low on a ship! Yes, we were supposed to be on deck 9 and I switched to deck 2 midship at the recommendation of a friend due to the fact that I easily get seasick. Best decision for that reason. Barely felt the ship move at all. Loved it
