I know Karen is away but hopefully she'll check in soon. Capt. Shawn doesn't return to EN until April 7. Gus is still there. I thought she would know this by the horn blowing she usually watches and listens for at sail away. ;)

I'm not sure how this rotation works. We are going on inde in July and have had ct remo in the past. Will he still be on it or finished rotation

Rick Sullivan said on the Rhapsody, during C&A Welcome Back party for a 11 night cruise that finished yesterday, that that was his last Rhapsody cruise as captain. I'm not sure who replaces him. However he did say he is moving to Explorer OTS (at a date not announced). He also joked that he considered becoming a singer (referring to his Karaoke contribution) so that he could stay on the Rhapsody but didn't like the pokey stateroom ;).

 

Is anybody else from the March 28-April 8 11-night Queensland Australia cruise able to confirm this info? (Maybe I heard wrong?)

So are you saying that Captain Rob did not start on March 21 a the schedule shows? And that Capt. Rick was there until April 8th? This will be good for Karen to know so she can adjust the schedule when she returns from her Explorer cruise. Hopefully she'll be able find out the info about Capt. Rick's dates to move to the ship she is now on.

Capt Johnny is well respected with thousands of fans that seek him out to sail over many years. I find it difficult to accept at face value something so awful it is kept hush hush. He is a pro.

We're not from that cruise, but Captain Rick is, indeed, going to Explorer. I'm not sure when, I know he goes on holiday first.

Correct, Rick Sullivan was the captain for the duration of this cruise, with his final address over the PA system on April 7th in the evening. I don't know for sure whether the captain's handover was done the same day as guest turnaround on the 8th, or if it was to follow mid-cruise on the next itinerary.

With Explorer coming to Australia in late 2015, maybe there was a good reason Captain Rick got assigned that ship. I'm sure his expertise in the area will be put to good use.
