He's currently the Fleet Captain. I believe Captain Wright held this position before him. I bet Captain Zini will eventually resurface on a ship, as Captain Wright did, perhaps to take one of the new ships... Oasis 3, anyone?

 

All speculation except for the Fleet Captain thing, which is currently stated on his public LinkedIn profile.

you are correct though, it's not speculation but law that to keep your unlimited master's license, you have to master a ship every 3-5 years (I can't remember the actual time frame).

It is Capt James Macdonald. He started 3-29-14, we had him on our 4-5-14 EX voyage. The usual rotation is 10 weeks long.

Capt. Lis should be back on May 22 or 26. I would guess she would definitely be back by the 31 since they have been doing 10 week rotations. The non-7 day cruises can throw it off a few days.

You have to sailed as a navigation officer/captain more then 12 months in a 5years period to held the master's license ;)

I guess that's the problem with a spreadsheet. ;)

 

Many ships can't do exact 10 week rotations due to the itineraries which aren't 7 or 14 day intervals. The 4 and 5 day cruises can really throw things off as can those long cruises in Australia. Or the 12 night Mediterranean. This list goes on, doesn't it?

 

I guess this one could call for a manual adjustment.

Read my post again, slowly this time.:) Captain Feduzzi is moving from Jewel, not to Jewel.

 

The LA, Tricia, arranged for a cocktail party for the Pinnacles the day we sailed from Hilo, our last port in the Hawaiian islands. She also set up a champagne breakfast in Chops for us with some ship's officers. D+ had a luncheon in the MDR. There were two welcome back parties, one for Platinum and higher, and the other for Gold. Also a top tier brunch on a sea day. She and her team did a wonderful job.:)
