Any word on if the Captains on Freedom will be changing when she goes to San Juan? I'm really hoping Captain Espen stays aboard. If I've done my math correctly, he'll be there for our cruise next June. Would love to sail with him again!

I am guessing he is doing a short term stint on Oasis so he is prepared for Symphony. Capt Rob must be the takeout captain for SY then, and won't return to OA.

He said that he will be on Oasis thru December.

Captain Sullivan will be leaving the Explorer 8/25. He will be taking over the Oasis on 10/1. I will post new Explorer captain in a few days.

I wish Captain Sullivan the best! Personally speaking, I'm disappointed he will not be there next month when I sail. I guess I will see him on Oasis, however. :)

Hopefully Capt. Sullivan will still be on Oasis at the end of November/Early December. I'm doing a B2B and it would be great to have him as the Captain.

 

It seems like they are pulling the most social/friendly Captains and putting them on the Oasis Class ships.

I'm happy to hear that Captain Sullivan will be Master on our 10/15 Oasis sailing. I've heard great things about him. Last time we had Captain Rob. He was a great Captain as well. I really enjoyed his informative weather and general updates from the Bridge.

Thanks. I thought that was usually the case but since Capt Busto had previously been Master of FOS and lives in PR thought maybe he would switch to FOS. Just curious.

Captain Rick is one of the captains for Symphony of the Seas. He's headed to Oasis of the Seas to get familiarized with the Oasis class ships. Capt Rob (also assigned to Oasis, but currently on vacation) is the other master given Symphony of the Seas.

I've only sailed with him back in 2006 when he was Stf Cpt on Vision. He is currently on vacation from Navigator. I'm told this is just a 5 week fill-in so I don't know if he'll stay assigned to EX or go back to NV to start his regular shift in November
