Sure glad I wasn't on it this week with Sarah , she felt bad last week and it wasn't really that bad. Let's hope the weather cheers up for you RR. And I'm praying it's not any worse in November.

Dannis counting down the days now too :D

Hi all... Just to let you know I am back off the old ship after another good holiday. There were a few storms about which made for a rocky couple of nights & as noticed on here we were unable to tender ashore at Villefranche. In fact it took over an hour to get one of the trial tenders back again & that was only with lots of ropes & help from the pilot boat, & it made the guest comedian a day late… The good news was that although everyone looked like they were line dancing when walking with the swaying ship there did not seem to be much sea sickness about & the extra day at sea was a profitable one for me in the casino which paid for a good chunk of our cruise. :D

It's late getting away tonight

Possibly some flights delayed because of bad weather...it was awful here with heavy rain and strong winds....:(

Someone on another forum was asking if Oasis is open on the first night? I couldn't answer but I know someone who can!! RR is it open every night??

If the weather is bad and there are gales and storms at sea do they still set sail regardless? I don't think I'd like that,,it would be a bit scary I think...dramatic but scary.

Do not worry safety & comfort of passengers is their main priority... (Seasick punters don't come back or spend money). When we could not tender at Villefranche even though the forecast was for it to shortly become calmer the captain said his main reason for sailing early was to sail south of some bad weather overnight. Plus it costs them a fortune in extra fuel if the captain has to put the ships stabilisers out (& yes the Island Escape does have stabilisers). Besides a storm in the Med is nothing like what you see on TV in the Bering sea on the Deadliest Catch...more like a few ripples on a pond.

On the Destiny Colourful Coasts in Feb this year, EVERY day was rocky. I was seasick for the first time. However, we did manage to dock every day. It obviously hasn't put me off cruising. The entertainment team rallied on even though there were glasses flying off the tables. I think there were quite a few extra steps in some of the dances. I do hope its calmer than that.
