Can you keep the same cabin?

If you book the same cabin for both cruises you will have it.:) Each cruises is a separate booking. We are doing B2B2B on Allure.

If you have to change cabins it is not a big deal. Your room attendant will help you move your things. Anything on a hanger will hang on their cart along with your bags.

Does RCCL do back to back cruises on Allure or Oasis like HAL does?

Can you keep the same cabin?

The short answer is yes!

Like stated before the B2B is two separate cruises. So if you want the same room you need to make sure your cabin number is available for both weeks when you book.

Word of caution for whatever reason these two ships have a lot of bookings a year out from their sailing dates. If you have a particular location or cabin that you want the earlier you book the better your chances are to get it for both weeks. I book mine over a year out and only had two dozen cabins available for both weeks in the category I wanted.

So if you book B2B, you just book the two cruises separately?

I've been wondering about this since I'd like to do a B2B someday.

Thanks for the info! :)

You just need to make sure the bookings are linked; you have to be issued with a new seapass card for any subsequent cruise and there is a procedure for providing you with that which is arranged on board.

It is nice to be the linked, but apparently not necessary. Last B2B, RCCL would not link our cruises. RCCL told me it was because one leg was made with a TA and one was a direct RCCL booking using VISA points. I’m still not sure if it was the 2 different booking places or if the points were the determining factor.

To the OP – yes you can do a B2B, or longer! It is a great feeling to see folks getting ready to leave the ship and knowing that you stay on for another cruise.

enjoy

In addition, you can have a back-to-back cruise if there's a night on land in between. For example, if you book the Oasis of the Seas one week (departing and returning on Saturday) and then Allure of the Seas for the following week (departing and returning on Sunday), Royal Caribbean will provide you complimentary hotel accommodations in the area and transportation between the pier and the hotel (both ways).

Daghis – please keep us posted on your B2B RCCL hotel accommodations. We are considering a similar B2B. A poster with a similar situation, noted that RCCL accommodations were by the Orlando airport. That means, on Sunday - take a shuttle from ship to hotel in Orlando, then the next morning shuttle back to PC to catch the Monarch.

Thanks, M

We're doing a B2B on FOS next month we booked though a TA in the UK, we can look at & access both through RC web site, we got the same cabin JS for both weeks although when we booked it we were told that we may not get the same room for both weeks, we booked about 10 months in advance. I recently got in touch with RC to ask about the wine package, if we booked for both weeks in one purchase we would save money, but RC would not allow this, they treat the cruises as two separate cruises, so we will need to book anything we need again for the 2nd week.

We just did that in Dec. First leg was on the Majesty (Miami) and the second leg was on the Oasis (Fort Lauderdale). RCCL booked and paid for us to stay in the Hilton Marina in Fort Lauderdale. We provided our own transportation to Fort lauderdale.

That sounds like the situation that I had posted elsewhere. Perhaps I'm that poster, too. :)

We're planning on skipping the provided shuttle and are instead renting a car. For ~$40, we can have transportation around the area and spend time doing what we want rather than just hanging out at the hotel. We'll still use the hotel that Royal Caribbean is providing, though, even though it's a bit out of the way.

Does RCCL give any additional discount for B2B cruises?

No, unfortunately, as we have done many B2Bs......:D They are each individual and any On Board Credit, Internet time etc. is Not carried over to the next cruise.

Each booking is separate and accounting treats it as such. Muster is compulsory for each cruise.

We book with RCL and make sure they are linked as B2B. Then it is easy for the transfer with getting notification of the B2B meeting, receiving your new Sea Pass Card and learning how each ship handles the B2B passengers at the departure port. Then you are escorted back on as a complete group first onto the ship, after Clearance.

You are allowed to go back to your cabin at this time as well. Even if the doors to the hallway are closed. Some ships will give you a sticky Dot on your new Sea Pass card or a coloured cardboard card to show you are a B2B passenger.

For those that buy liquor on the first B2B, you will not get it until you have finished all your B2B nights.

I think now you pick it up the morning of departure or maybe still the last night. They were changing the rules I think. We don't bother to buy any and have to fly with liquor bottles.

We Love B2B cruises and it makes the flight worth while doing as many nights as we want.

No additional discount for B2B cruises. The most you might get is a special lunch on embarkation day of the second cruise if there are enough B2B cruisers.

  • 4 weeks later...
We will be doing a B2B in January on the Liberty. Will we have to get off with our luggage, wait Thru embarcation like a new passenger, then reboard? We are departing both times from FLL and there isn't anything to do as i recall in port.

Joan

If you are in the same cabin, then just walk off with your old sea pass and back on with the new one as instructed by a letter or meeting. If you are changing cabins then your cabin attendant will take the hanging items and you pack up everything else. They will take your cases and move you. You can relax on the ship and enjoy an almost empty ship for awhile! After settling into your new cabin or after boarding. The ship needs to be cleared of all passengers and then start fresh with the next one. Be sure to check your account is $0 as no OBC or such, are carried over to the next cruise. They are both separate cruises.

We love B2Bs!!!!! :D

Have a great B2B cruise.

Darn it, I suspected this would be the case, but I was hoping it wouldn't be (was considering springing for the most expensive  Internet plan if it could be carried over).

Thanks for the useful B2B info. :)
