I was taking a picture of my wife and Beryl and I think that is you in the right hand side. Not a flaterring picture, but maybe it is not you. I guess you know David died.

hmmm....my TA got this when he inquired of ACC while booking my 11/26/13 on the Quest:

Hotel Director: Ryszard Gusmann

Cruise Director: Russ Grieve

 

Maybe the word of the new master hasn't reached corp staff yet? Sorry to miss Capt. Carl, he made our first cruise on the Quest even better than it was.

I do not belive the 3 month theory is etched in stone. At this time, I do not have anything for Quest beyond the Feb 18, 2014 sailing. As soon as further information is available, I will post again on this thread.

Carl Smith posted on his Facebook page that he is back as of March 4, which means he'll be at the helm for my April 11 Easter sailing :D

Hi Floris, Thank you so much for posting the good news that Capt. Carl Smith is back early March. I have been on Journey 3 times and have just booked Quest hoping he will be on board and, barring accidents, we will be able to meet him at last. Great news. :):)

I just got off the Quest yesterday. It was my first Azamara cruise. Everything was wonderful. I can't praise Capt. Jose Vilarinho enough. He was fantastic!!

All over the ship getting acquainted with everyone. I would love to sail with him again.

Sue, after you got off, I got on. :D I have to agree with you 100% about Capt. Jose. I was disappointed when I found out that Capt. Carl wouldn't be the captain on this cruise and was concerned about what Capt. Jose would be like. He was wonderful!!! Very friendly and eager to meet everyone, which I think he succeeded in doing. I would be very happy to sail with him again.

I was on the Dec. 8th sailing and agree what others have said about Capt. Jose. He's a perfect fit for Azamara and it was a pleasure sailing with him.

We were on the Dec. 8 cruise as well and agree 110% with all the wonderful comments about Capt. Jose. He is genuinely outgoing and very interested in insuring all his passengers are not only having a great time as well as keeping a continuous eye on safety and security along with Ryzard, Russ and the all of the Quest staff. It was a pleasure to sail with this wonderful crew!
