Kiwi Kruzer Posted June 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2012 Thank you for that update. The changes at the bottom of the South Island are minor ones, but interesting to see the replacements for Christchurch. Most ships have been going to Akaroa, which means a tender call. I was wondering what Voyager would do. Picton.... I thought she might have been too big for that port. Its a great sail in through the Marlborough Sounds. Napier, a great port of call. She would be one of the bigest to call there. Wellington... no problems.

Kiwi_cruiser Posted June 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2012 I was told by our TA that she couldn't call into Akaroa as she is too big for the harbour. In length wise, how does she compare to the Diamond Princess / Radiance of the Seas??
Kiwi_cruiser Posted June 26, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2012 Napier, a great port of call. She would be one of the bigest to call there. It could be interesting to see her coming in to Napier! and to find out how much water would be under her!

The_Big_M Posted June 26, 2012 #12 Share Posted June 26, 2012 I was told by our TA that she couldn't call into Akaroa as she is too big for the harbour. She could be too large, but she also doesn't do tenders here so that rules Akaroa out.

Thanks Steve :D Te Papa is a fascinating museum - things for children to do and is huge. Great if it is raining. http://www.tepapa.govt.nz/WhatsOn/Kahu-KidsAtTePapa/DiscoveryCentres/Pages/overview.aspx You can walk to it along the esplanade from the shuttle stop.
