NCL OBC -on board credit free!! $100

I also have kids promo, and they just gave me my 100 dolla credit!! YAYY!!! i had to call NCL... never recieved brochure, and somehow, (magic maybe??) they looked into hsn.coms database and saw that i had applied for the brochure t get $100 obc, and they even saw i applied multiple times... i told them i thought da button was broke..(heheehe, thanks to someones comment on this thrad earlier :) . And they told me only one request can be made for $100 dollar credit, so i said , i will happily accept one $100 dollar OBC please!! and they asked me what cruise i was sailing on , my reservation number, ( and yes, i did book through an agent) and they said, its now on your latitudes number, when you sail it is on your shipboard credit. So , check again, and try, because the brochure does not list the code for "not valid on kids sail free promo" its just for ordering HSN.COM brochure advertising NCL , you get $100 obc for all bookings reservations before 8/30/12, can be used on 2012 and 2013 sail dates.

What exactly did you say when you called? I'm trying to imagine what i'd say ... 'hi, do you have a credit for obc listed under my name?" can imagine them saying "no idea what you are talking about" or telling me I have to wait till I get the brochure. I also imagine them saying I will lose the 70 that I got from a recent OBC promo.

poffles, sweet!!! Thanks! I'm going to call too :)

Good. Hope we both get the OBC. I never have any luck getting a bonus, typically pay full price for the cruise and no bonus so would be nice to get what I read other people get. This booking I got 70 for my mini suite and thought that was good. Would be nice to get the 100 on top of that.

Received the brochure in the mail today along with a letter dated 7/9/2012. Just as I thought, no "magic code". "As a special thank you from HSN and NCL, you're eligible to receive $100 to spend on board any 5+ day Norwegian cruise when you book by August 31, 2012... Once you're ready to make your reservation, please make sure you mention your Client ID listed above to redeem your $100 onboard credit..." There isn't actually a Client ID listed but a couple weeks ago I got an email from NCL saying I have 2 Latitudes #s and they merged them for me. So I'm thinking if you request the brochure they sign you up. My #s were merged and no points lost in the process.

Oh, the letter also says "use your $100 towards relaxing spa services, romantic dinners, adventurous short excursions or for whatever you wish. They probably should add a disclaimer "except DSC and casino". ;)

Oh, I recieved that same email this week. No brochure yet. I could not figure why they told me I had 2 numbers.....Now I understand :)

poffles, I hope we both are successful! I'm kind of the same as you, I usually don't end up getting anything "extra" either, but right now I have a $50 OBC (first time ever!).. would definitely be nice to get $100 on top of that!

I'm glad you posted about what others asked, re having it applied to an existing booking. I was curious too, also don't know if I should just wait a bit then call, and if I should call my usual PCC or just the generic #. My PCC has told me in the past for every change he has to cancel and rebook, I hope that's not the case here and it can just be applied... but worried if I call him directly he'll just say the usual ;)

My PCC said NO they are not letting us give this credit, those that did were not suppose to. Even though I do not sail until December 2012 and have not made final payment!!!

Happy for those that were able to get it.

That sucks, you have my luck.

When I get mine I have already planned to just cancel and rebook since it's so far away and I will still come out ahead. I've been rethinking the cruise I booked anyway so one way or another I will get the 100 if I should legitimately get it :)

The T&Cs state "offer is valid for new individual and new group bookings... Guests who cancel and rebook must accept this promotions T&Cs". I don't understand why a booking would need to be repriced since this OBC isn't tied to a specific sale, but if those are the rules and you've not made final payment, don't have any better promotions already, and the price hasn't gone up, then don't the T&Cs suggest you can just rebook? I put down deposit with this OBC, next day changed cabin categories and price, and my PCC made the change within a minute or two, and kept the OBC applied. Easy peasy.

it says order a free ncl brochure and get a obc of $100, please click link below, or cut and paste it, then fill out the form and hit submit button.

That is what my pcc also Said. It was for new bookings ad it was letting the code thru on existing reservations but they fixed it.

So if you got it you were lucky!

This OBC will be applied to the first person on a reservation. I made the reservation sailing with DM. She ended up listed first either because of age or alphabatizing of our first names. So, once on board to you think the cashier can either split the OBC or move it to me? I've seen other promos that say OBC will be applied to first and second person and that was our experience on our last cruise. We don't plan to spend more than the $100 (excl DSC) and would rather not have to find DM everything I want an adult beverage.

When my three sons shared a balcony cabin and the OBC was only spilt between the first two listed, they told them come down to Guest Services once the one with no OBC had charged his share of the OBC on their own account and they would move it to the other two accounts so they all got 1/3 of the OBC.

We also had some of my DS and DDIL's charges transferred to our account last October to use up some OBC.

They cannot or will not move the OBC to another account but you can move any charges. Both of you would have to go to GS at the same time since the person whose account the charges are to be transferred has to sign a paper authorizing the transfer. At least you do not have to worry about being together constantly to get your share of the OBC.

Just an update ...

... spoke to my PCC and she said that if you apply online the code is available almost right way tied to you on their end so appears no need to wait for the mailing to use/apply it.

If, however, like me you can't sign up online because you live in Canada, then you have to wait for the mailout and call them with the code. Oh well, I have no problem waiting .. hopefully I actually get it.

Interesting considering I signed up online the same time as my DH and we both got the brochure in the same mailing and his code was associated with his Latitude when our PCC looked for it and applied it to our 2014 Breakaway sailing and mine is among the missing even with the code from the letter enclosed with the brochure. (If my PCC located it yet she didn't tell me but then she knows we won't be booking for at least two more weeks anyway.)

Hope I make someone's day!!! I found out that if you go to hsn.com and ask for a free brochure for ncl, they give a free OBC of 100.00 for bookings by 8/2012. Hope this isn't old news. But I just signed up for mine for my oct.sailing.:):):)

Well you really made my day. Thanks you so much for this info. I called the phone # and my brochure is in the mail. Barb:D

Isn't the phone number toll free in Canada like it is in the USA? An 866 number is the same as an 800 number here........

If so here's the number to call: 1-866-234-7459 Good Luck!

:)Hey Everyone,

I just called this number (1-866-234-7459) and explained that I ordered the brochure but never got it. I said I was sailing soon and the $100 OBC hadn't showed up yet. I had reserved with an online company about a week before I had signed up for brochure. A very nice lady named Liz added the $100 OBC to my existing OBC! Hooray and thank you to OP for letting us all know about this.

There goes that theory out the window LOL. That is funny. Guess I'll see what happens when I get the mailout.

Were you able to apply your code to a reservation you made prior to receiving the code. I just went on the website and submitted my info. Hoping to get the brochure and code soon. I actually have 2 cruises booked and would love to apply another $100 OBC to my Thanksgiving Cruise. Here's hoping

Yes, we were able to have it applied to a current reservation but the price had not changed so we could have cancelled and rebooked if necessary. Some are saying they fixed whatever was allowing it to be applied to current reservations so who knows going forward whether it will work or not. If the price hasn't changed you can cancel and rebook but it depends on how you got your other OBC because you might lose it if you rebook.

I was on the fence about booking now for a Europe 2013 Spring Break trip when I saw this thread. The extra $100 OBC was the deal sweater for me and I went to HSN to sign up. I, too, got an email from NCL, saying they had merged my two Latitiude Accounts, so HSN must have created one for me when I registered. When my TA went to book the cruise, I asked her to call in the cc# for the deposit instead of using their on-line system to ask about HSN credit. And it must have worked, because I now see that confirmation and the extra $100 in my account. I still haven't gotten the brochure or letter

:DI just called NCL and they transferred me to my PCC, and he applied the obc right then. I ordered the brochure over a week ago and I still have not received it, but apparently everything is showing in their system. This was for a previously booked cruise that is sailing Dec 2013.

I applied for my brochure last week and never received it. I phoned 866-234-7459 and told them I never got the brochure and they looked it up and applied the OBC to my cruise on 10-21-12 that was already booked but final payment is not due until next week. :) :) :)

Thanks to the original poster. I just sent my TA an email today to see if she could get it applied. I did request a brochure a couple of days ago and it is not here yet. I booked the cruise almost a year ago and she had no problem getting it applied.

I guess I will call my PCC tomorrow. I've had the Epic booked for Thanksgiving and have a great price and a $100 OBC from a special one day sale. So I will try. Should I call HSN first and get a code, or just assume that since I filled in the info on the webpage and it said "Thank you for signing up" that I am now in a system somewhere. I guess I want as much info to give to my PCC as possible. Thanks all for the assistance
