Wildcatfish Posted October 8, 2012 #354 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Trainman, you're photos are telling quite a story! There is nothing better than sunrise at sea - simply beautiful! Of course the food porn always holds a special place in my heart... or stomach. The pics of the people on deck are priceless!! The sleepers are a scream! mcca2 Posted October 8, 2012 #358 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Trainman-2, who's the master? Hi Wolf, just got off the Vision Transatlantic and the Master is Capt Schreko Ban. He was great and very involved with the guests. We had a few very rocky days in the Bay of Biscay and he came around the VCL to see how everyone was doing. He was also sport enough to take part in a water polo game of crew v guests...............He is one of the best I have ever sailed with and very visible to everyone.......................PS He is a cutie as well ;)

Darkwolfe Posted October 8, 2012 #360 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Thanks! I'm waiting for the good stuff to show up then!I'd bypass a buffet on a vacation. I picture fancy plates decorated like a 5 star restuarent at dinner. Trainmans dinner the other night looked like a slab of beef plopped down on the plate. Looks very relaxing to say the least! That particular dish from first night is the prime rib. Might not be the prettiest presentation, but man o man is it good! :D

Trainman-2 Posted October 8, 2012 Author #365 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Day 4 - Monday - Cartehena, Columbia Good Morning Everyone, I am live from the Pool Deck. They are changing out the coffee so I decided to get started while I am waiting. We selected our "Official Bar" for the cruise yesterday! It is in the Casion and is the only inside bar that allows smoking all of the time. There are others that allow smoking late at night. I ordered my first "Aspin Summer" of the cruise last night! Trainman-2 Posted October 8, 2012 Author #371 Share Posted October 8, 2012 (edited) Now The Food... Nothing on the menu really interested us so Judith and I both ordered the Filet from Chops. They were Excellent! Some other items from our table mates. They brought our baked potatoes in a bowl and even provided some grated cheddar cheese when I asked for it. Trainman-2 Posted October 8, 2012 Author #373 Share Posted October 8, 2012 On my second cup of coffee now! The coffee on the ship is really strong! Judith and I both add a lot of milk to it from a pitcher sitting in ice. They also have half & half in little bitty thingies that are too much of a pain to fool with. Trainman-2 Posted October 8, 2012 Author #374 Share Posted October 8, 2012 On a ship sailing in salt water, maintenance is an every day thing. Considering its age, the vision is in excellent condition! They have an excellent maintenance program! In the photos of Deck 10 I posted yesterday you could see the Ships First Officer. He was wandering around taking photos of everything that needed attention.
