If only Posted October 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2012 Do you know, from experience, if passengers in suites get elite perks even if they do not have elite classification? Not normally, but I have seen given it if there are very few Elites on board.
bigbenboys Posted October 19, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2012 Do you know, from experience, if passengers in suites get elite perks even if they do not have elite classification? I was told on a cruise we had 75 elites and 25 VIP. With only 100 the evening events were held in Michaels Club. On our last cruise at one of the elite events we sat with a couple that were in a suite and it was their 2nd cruise with Celebrity. So I'm thinking they must get a invite. Rare cruisestitch Posted October 19, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2012 This is at the discretion of the Hotel Director in consultation with the Captain's Club Host/Hostess. Elite invitations may be extended to those in suites but it is not a guarantee.
Gonzo70 Posted October 19, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2012 Also which suite you are in makes a big difference. Sky Suite - almost no chance of receiving elite perks. Celebrity Suite - some chance. Royal or Penthouse Suite - large chance, but no guarantee.

Chunky2219 Posted October 19, 2012 #11 Share Posted October 19, 2012 Just back from our first ever Celebrity voyage, which was in a Royal Suite. We got the full monty (I assume). VIP pass, invites for events, free laundry, discounted laundry, free pressing, wine discount vouchers main restaurant and speciality, internet minutes, discount photos, vouchers for the casino, bingo vouchers, etc. etc. We were very, very pleased with this. €4 for a bottle of water and no free sodas.......... not so much. . . . CruisersTimesThree Posted October 19, 2012 #12 Share Posted October 19, 2012 We were in a Royal Suite on the Summit for our first cruise on Celebrity back in June and our friends were in a Sky Suite We received all the elite perks, our friends did not. The only thing that really was used were the free internet minutes. The DH and I also received invites to dine at the Capt's table the first formal night, a bridge tour and an engine room tour. All of those invitations were enjoyed by us. After another couple apparently declined the Capts table invitation, Aurora (Capt Club Hostess) was kind enough to allow our friends to dine with us that evening. We inquired if it was possible, and she made it happen. One of the reason we fell in love with Celebrity....they treat their guests wonderfully! pmk515 Posted October 19, 2012 #13 Share Posted October 19, 2012 Veteran Celebrity cruisers... What would be your guess about me getting an upgrade to elite after booking an Aqua Class Suite? Would it really just depend on the number of elites that are already on the cruise in question?

kettlitz Posted October 20, 2012 #17 Share Posted October 20, 2012 I sailed on Solstice last March in a PS and we were extended the elite benefits and we were first time celebrity cruisers. We also were invited to the Captain's table for the first formal dinner, but declined, and were invited to a bridge tour (which we did). We will sail on Infinity in the PS around Christmas and have been told by Celebrity the same will happen on the next sailing. We'll see. Leviathan2772 Posted October 23, 2012 #18 Share Posted October 23, 2012 As most everyone said, if you spend the buck$$$, you will likely get the perks. As a Classic & Select member we received Elite perks. We have had Celebrity as well as Royal Suites. However will still received the perks with a Sky Suite Aft. When you arrive, ask the staff management you interact with for the perks. You will never know if you don't ask...
rbuenger Posted October 24, 2012 #19 Share Posted October 24, 2012 Do you know, from experience, if passengers in suites get elite perks even if they do not have elite classification? We were on the June 4th sailing of Solstice from Barcelona, I am Select on X and my it was my DW's 1st Cruise on X but we were both given Elite Status on our sailing due to our Royal Suite...... Project_gal Posted October 24, 2012 #20 Share Posted October 24, 2012 Elsewhere on these boards, it has been said that the casino cash advance fee was waived for guest in a Royal Suite: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1725964 The poster actually quoted the letter giving the information. Does anyone know if this is now standard or another perk at the discretion of the Hotel Manager? Sue

It is not as hard to join as people might tell you & the perks are really good.
