2014 / 2015 Deployment Update

I see from your post that you have sailed with Royal Caribbean --- are you a Crown & Anchor Society member? If so, call Celebrity's Captain Club phone number and give them your C&A number and they will issue a Captain's Club number to you. I did this a few years back and was able to take advantage of savings on my booking.

I have the following number for the Captain's Club Loyalty Desk: 1-800-760-0654.

Sadly, I have only cruised once back in 1997 on Rhapsody. I being the numb skull That I am, did not join at the time. Don't think I have the cruise docs anymore. I'm mad at myself.

I'm sorry. Do you by any chance have an embarkation picture that shows the name of the ship and the cruise date? That item has worked for some people.

I actually might. I'll have to go check my pictures. The 1997 Alaska cruise was my honeymoon from my "starter" marriage, so I've wisely destroyed or hid most of that evidence from my real wife!

Thank you very much for your help. Love the CC family!

We can't wait for Northern Europe. Any guesses which ship(s) will be doing this part of the world in 2014?

Hi Jimp1266,

Ships have not been announced yet, but my guess is Eclipse & Infinity.

Yes, the Infinity will be sailing out of Harwich and the Eclipse out of Southampton, same as this year.

Here is a little problem I am trying to solve. Celebrity chartered 04/26/2014 Millennium sailing and offered (which is very nice of them and I appreciate it!) to rebook any other sailings with an extra $300 onboard credit. The only little issue is that it should be done by 03-12-2013 or my original sailing will be simply cancelled and I will receive my deposit back. I would like to rebook because I already have some OBC from Celebrity and from my TA, plus an extra $300 OBC. However, the sailings I am interested in (Northern Eurpope - 3/21 and Europe & Transatlantic - 3/27) will be released after 03-12-2013. Is it possible to book any cruise to save OBC and then change it to the sailing I like?

Have you been told that you can keep the OBC you already have from Celebrity? There is nothing in the T&Cs I have seen posted on the Roll Call to suggest that. Any alternative has to be booked at the "prevailing rates" and that, to me, suggests that you would not be able to carry it over. I would also confirm that your TA is willing to carry over your OBC as well. That may also be sailing specific.

To answer your question, Celebrity have been reported on the Roll Call to been inflexible about the terms offered and would, in my opinion, be unlikely to carry the compensation over to a different cruise.

I have a slightly different interpretation (wishful thinking?).

I changed my booking to a later cruise and paid the going rate for the same category cabin (that's my interpretation of the requirement that the new booking be at the prevailing rate - it has nothing to do with OBC). My Millie booking had $300 OBC on it because it was booked on board a cruise. My new invoice still has that $300 plus a strange configuration of two items:

OBC1 - $50 ONBRDCR

OBC2-$100 ONBRDCR.

My TA was assured that this is per person and would equate to the $300 per cabin OBC that was offered.

If I choose to move it again (and I probably will), I am relatively confident all $600 OBC will follow the booking number.

I also booked this "chartered" sailing on board. And I asked the Celebrity TA on board about the possibility of changing the sailing and about the option of carrying over OBC. TA told me that it wouldn't be a problem: I can rebook and all my OBC from Celebrity will be saved. OBC from my TA is based on her commission and can be less or more depending on the price of the cruise. But it was the scenario when I change the booking. In this case Celebrity cancelled the cruise. Can the rules change?

Do you know if there will be a cruise to the Antartic in 2014? I'm assuming the ship will be the Infinity?

Yes, Celebrity has the Infinity sailing to Antarctica on 2/2/14 & 2/16/14. These were added a year ago during the 2013/2014 roll out. We will see in the next month if they add more sailings in Feb 2015.

I'm not sure I completely understand your scenario. Under normal circumstances, you can make a booking on board (for the sake of argument say it has $300 OBC) and change it numerous times. As long as you don't cancel the booking but simply move it to a new cruise, the OBC will follow it. If you wait past the deadline and let YOUR booking be cancelled by Celebrity, then the original OBC goes away.

I have had more than one case in the past where I changed the cruise on a booking number I made on board and the OBC stayed through the end. Once this other (combinable because it is compensation, not a promotion) OBC is added to your booking, it should follow the same rules.

The key is not to let your booking number get cancelled. Move it before the 12th and it should be just another routine reservation. I also expect to have some decent OBC from my TA based on the final cruise I pick so I will board the ship with close to $1,000 to spend. Right now, I am looking for a fall TA in 2014 to use it on.

Mary El, we have a nice roll call going for the 2/16/14 Antarctic cruise. Come check it out here.

Sorry, I forgot to post Alaska: :o

"Alaska on board Celebrity Century and Celebrity Millenium available 12 March."

Further, the email from Celebrity, Norway has Captain Club offers available if booked between dates in March and June.

Celebrity calls this: "Celebrity’s World Tour 2014-2015"

:)

Thanks for the heads up Andy. Are those "" As an exclusive offer for our members, you can save up to $500† on your vacation "" per person or per cabin?

Where can I find pricing on the Bermuda 2014 dates?

In April 2015 Celebrity's S class ships will finally be able to pass through the Panama Canal. This should open up new itineraries ,including expanded Pacific /Asia sailings. This might also be the catalyst for a new class of ship, and the beginning of the end for the M class....

I know I'm a year early, but it's still exciting...

Just got a confirmation from my TA and she confirmed with Celebrity. If I rebook now (before 3-12 and any sailing) then I keep my original OBC + OBC from "chartered" cruise + TA OBC. If I switch later to a different sailing (what I like) all OBCs move with me.
