AJs Grandpa Posted April 7, 2013 #26 Share Posted April 7, 2013 Obviously you will need to change your name to Emerald for this OBC to be applied if you need to show your e-mail on the ship. Well, DW sometimes thinks I'm a "jewel." Won't that suffice?:)
megs1954 Posted April 7, 2013 #27 Share Posted April 7, 2013 For those that didn't get a response confirmation recently did you include an email address on the fax No.

Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted April 8, 2013 #30 Share Posted April 8, 2013 Has anyone been able to SUBMIT their form via email? There is an email address on the form, but I got an "undeliverable" bounceback message.
Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted April 8, 2013 #31 Share Posted April 8, 2013 My Princess Cruise Consultant assured me (via email) that if we both own a block of shares we can get 2 times the shareholder benefit. Is that true? [The way I read the form, it seems unlikely.]
vickie_bernie Posted April 8, 2013 Author #32 Share Posted April 8, 2013 My Princess Cruise Consultant assured me (via email) that if we both own a block of shares we can get 2 times the shareholder benefit. Is that true? [The way I read the form, it seems unlikely.] Yes the form does state only one benefit per cabin.
caribill Posted April 8, 2013 #33 Share Posted April 8, 2013 Has anyone been able to SUBMIT their form via email? There is an email address on the form, but I got an "undeliverable" bounceback message. Not any more. Princess eliminated that option sometime last year. denmarks Posted April 8, 2013 #34 Share Posted April 8, 2013 I have found that there are fee FAX websites that you can use to FAX your request. I sent in a request on Saturday and received an email first thing today (Monday). It wasn't what I wanted. They now absolutely want you to send it in within 90 days of the cruise. In the past I just received a warning.
calsnoozie Posted April 15, 2013 #35 Share Posted April 15, 2013 FYI - just in case anyone is tracking how long it is taking to receive confirmation. I faxed in my Shareholder benefit request on Monday, 4/9/13, evening, received email confirmation today, Sunday 4/14/13, morning. 6 days total from fax to confirmation. This is for a cruise early June 2013. Thank you Princess for the quick processing time and the email confirmation! Sue from Fairfield, CA

fun cruiserz Posted May 17, 2013 #37 Share Posted May 17, 2013 I faxed mine over 2 weeks ago for a July cruise too and have heard nothing. I finally called Princess and they said it has been applied to my booking, but still have not received an email. I even wrote right on the form, please confirm request has been fulfilled via email, and still did not hear from them.
bhopal21 Posted June 18, 2013 #38 Share Posted June 18, 2013 I just faxed in my shareholder benefit request form and received an email saying that it had been granted within a period of about 30 minutes!:D Things have certainly improved! Older Sister Posted June 18, 2013 #43 Share Posted June 18, 2013 I just bought 100 shares of Carnival Stock and am looking forward to using the onboard credits during my next three cruises. I note that the current shareholder benefit request form refers to the benefit being applicable on sailings through July 31, 2013, but my cruises will take place later this year. Has anyone heard if the benefit will be extended past August 1? I checked the Carnival website, and the pages that would refer to this information are blank. bhopal21 Posted June 18, 2013 #44 Share Posted June 18, 2013 Yes, it has. My cruise is August 18th and my credit was just granted. Mike:)
paul929207 Posted June 18, 2013 #45 Share Posted June 18, 2013 The Plan is re-authorized by the Carnival Corp Board of Directors. It has bee extended to 2014.
Pam in CA Posted June 18, 2013 #46 Share Posted June 18, 2013 Even if you receive confirmation from Princess and/or confirmation that your OBC has been applied, that doesn't mean you'll get it when you board the ship. My last three cruises (Island last October, Crown in February, and Diamond in May), it wasn't applied and I had to produce a copy of my fax, including proof of stock ownership, before it was applied. There is a disconnect between the shareholder benefit office and the ships. So, bring a copy of everything and double-check.
Balloon Man Posted June 18, 2013 #47 Share Posted June 18, 2013 This is interesting. How many shares do you have to hold? And does it apply to shareholders in the UK? Thank you.
bhopal21 Posted June 18, 2013 #48 Share Posted June 18, 2013 100 shares and yes you in the UK are eligible as well. Mike:)
hansi Posted June 19, 2013 #49 Share Posted June 19, 2013 I've held Carnival shares for a number of years now, and we've done over 40 cruises with Princess, so I've got a good return with all the OBC and more with dvidends over the years. My personal cruise assistant at Princess has my details, so they just get applied on request whenever I book.
