We sail on the Reflection in December and staying in Aqua Class so dining in Blu, after we upgrade to premium drink package and pre-pay gratuities we still have a couple hundred in onboard credits. What should we spend it on, since we are eating in Blu not sure if the specialty restaurants are worth it. Also we stop in St. Thomas, St. Martin and San Juan, are any of the tours worth it? I realize we could book spa treatments but I am looking for best value for the money, and I also realize this is very subjective according to everyone's likes, but what was your experiences?

Thank you, looking for a lot of suggestions

We did Boss off a Celebrity ship a few years ago in St. Thomas, don't know if they still offer it. Hard to answer your question since we don't know your likes, dislikes.

Keep watching the boards to see if upgrading to the premium on board cost the extra $5 over the regular $10/pp/day.

It may be something that you want to consider to save the extra money.

You can use the money to purchase duty free liquor on board. Buy it the first day and they also usually have a raffle for those that made purchases the first day for $50 or $100.

Book the ship tour "Champagne Catamaran to St. John".

We have the same situation. It really depends on what you like. We plan to spend it on an excursion from St. Thomas. We'll book as soon as we get on board - I'm hoping our top choice will still be available but there are multiple options we'd be happy with. All other days we are doing our own thing or going with a private tour company. I'm not sure that any ship's tour is the best value, but for us, it seemed to be the best use of the free money. But other options I considered were buying photos or possibly items in the gift shops.

It's a great problem to have! :)

I wasn't aware that they had a duty free liquor shop on the ship, if I use my credits for a bottle can I bring it to my room for consumption?

No you cannot. They will deliver it to your cabin the last night of the cruise.

The St, Thomas island tour that goes to Blackbeard's castle and the other side of the island is pretty good.

You dont have to prepay your tips when dining in Blu. If your booking yourself you just pick early or later dining. As you know you can dine when you want in Blu. That way you can uses your onboard credits for tiping. You only must pre pay for Select Dining. I call my TA and had ours changed on our last cruise. Richard

If you really can't think of what to spend your OBC on, and extra tipping isn't your thing, see if you can donate it to charity. If there is no way of doing this surely Celebrity should set up a charity donation dept because a lot of unused OBC must go into Celebrity's coffers every year.

Just my thoughts.

Cheers, h.

If concerned that tour will be booked by sail time, book now and charge to credit card, then once onboard go tomShore Excursion desk and tell the to transfer to Obc. Have done many times,

Casino, drinks, speciality restaurants, excursions, photos, gratuitues, spa and botiques (including liquor and sundries). I have never found it hard to use up OBCs. My favorite is in the fine jewelry shops. Even tho they are overpriced they won't cost you anything if you use the OBC.

if your tips are prepaid you can use it for specialty dining wait a couple of days and see what offers come up. First night is pretty much always 1/2 off, we received a call for 5 nights and 2 at Bistro on 5 and 2 at Lawn club grill for 75.00PP.
