Dislike the changes to the Princess website

Okay, I just checked it out and it seems fine to me:confused:

I agree with the other posters. It makes it bad for those of us who are back-to-back-to-back cruisers. I like to pick a ship and see where it is going over a several month time span. The "destination" changes as the ship moves around, such as Australia/Asia/Repositioning. Same holds true for TA followed by Europe. Princess, I know you are listening. Please fix this issue ASAP.

This may help you. Click on "Learn About Princess", then "Cruise Ships". I picked the Emerald and then clicked "Cruises" at the bottom of the page. Don't click the upper right hand corner "Find a Cruise By" "Emerald Princess Destinations" - you will get an error.

Hm, looks like the Cruise Atlas (in particular, that inside back cover which lists all cruises by ship) is going to be even more helpful than ever before. So much for all those who turn their noses up at it and claim looking online is so much better and easier.

Just one more voice to agree with others. Terrible to require a destination! We love B2B cruises with different destinations. Looks like we will need to "shop" on an agency website with a more friendly search engine.

my biggest peeve with the new site is that it no longer has a "last searched" cruise. This was a quick way to check for price drops, without having to re-enter all the details!

I have to add my vote to the thumbs down crowd. It was much easier before to search within the time frame we have available and compare options and prices without regard to destination.

Recently Viewed Cruises is still there, below the selection criteria boxes.

All they have to do is put in a "Destination Location" called "Anywhere". Then let the computer use the other criteria to perform it's selection process without limiting it to one site. I am not a computer nerd, but if I can come up with an idea, then those highpriced IT specialists surly could come up with something.

Or did they hire the same IT firm that Obama did?

I am really disappointed with the new search design on the Princess site. In the past I could click on the month I want to cruise, and narrow my search from there based on days, departure port, or destination. However, now a destination is required.

 

An example of this is if I select Dec 2014, select 9-14 days I can see there are 22 cruises. But now I have to go through 7 different destinations to see all 22 cruises. Previously all 22 cruises would come up and I could simply scroll through them.

 

Awww, it's the little things that are irritating.

 

Agree poorly designed, poor concept. What tech person designed this? Why even spend $$ to change something that was already working? Was it a make work project? Correction, eliminate the required destination field? Let the customer decide if they want to narrow the search to a specific destination after they see the sailings. Are you reading this and paying attention Princess?

I don't like the way they conceal alternative dates either. It's a pain to have to open all the extra windows to survey all the possibilities, and then you have too much to scroll through.

 

Yeah, I was browsing and originally missed that too. Seems that if you don't see that there are more than 1 date, you will miss out.:confused:

I hate the new system also. I even had a cruise I found and like disappear after I went to compare a different destination. When I went back that date was gone.

Have I mentioned recently how much I HATE the new cruise finder on the Princess website? Totally useless unless you have a specific destination in mind. I'm having to use a TA site to search for a cruise in order to see the options. Arrrggghhh! ::: scream :::
