What has been your favorite excursion off a cruise ship?

Float plane to Taku Lodge and glacier on our Alaska cruise, out of Juneau. It included a delicious salmon lunch, an after lunch hike, beautiful views of the glaciers and a live bear up a tree. It was a great experience and most memorable.

We have done that excursion as well. It is great. The day we were there, the bears were trying to get the salmon off the grill.

Swimming with the dolphins in the Bahamas. We still have a picture of us and the dolphins on our picture table and occasionally watch the tape we purchased that we had to convert from VHS to CD.

Tough question. It's hard to pick just one. I did have a great time on the America's Cup Yacht race in St. Maarten. Tons of fun, especially since our yacht won :D

Glacier Trekking in Juneau, you get a helicopter ride and walk on the glaciers for three hrs, beautiful blue water and great scenery

1. Family Air (float plane) to Anan Creek, Alaska Land on beach and hike up a mile to watch the bears and eagles fishing for salmon. Two very close encounters on the hike up.

 

2. Silver Moon II (semi private catamaran) - swimming with turtles in Barbados

We did an Xrail off-road dune buggy excursion in Cabo San Lucas. These things had no speed governors and ran wide open. We were tearing around a dried out river bed and a beach in these. it was completely insane and ton of fun. For the fun factor, no other excursion has ever come close.
