spotte Posted January 22, 2014 #176 Share Posted January 22, 2014 The lists of highly talented popular artists are: • Chicago • Daughtry • Foreigner • Gavin DeGraw • Jennifer Hudson • Jewel • Kansas • Lady Antebellum • LeAnn Rimes • Martina McBride • Olivia Newton-John • REO Speedwagon • STYX • Trace Adkins I'd pay to see about half of them. The rest? Not my cup of tea. But still - it might be fun. Don't think we'll see Trace Adkins after what just happened on his last cruise entertainment booking
Rare LMaxwell Posted January 22, 2014 #177 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Boo who cares! thats not big news! Im not going on a cruise to pay to see a singer! If I wanna go to a concert I will on land! Just bring back the live music by the pool!! Xeleventybillion.

poison7fl Posted January 22, 2014 #179 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Carnival is starting to become a big joke. Very upset I rushed to platinum on this line instead of on RCL...... Every upgrade of late seems like a downgrade So, Carnival get's top notch performances, unlike any other cruise line, and instead of raising everyone's rates, they charge a fee, just like on land, and Just like some of their pay restaurants (Like other cruise lines)... and this upsets you????? How is this a downgrade? I would imagine nothing would make you happy. You aren't being forced to see the performers, you aren't forced to pay anything else, you aren't forced to do anything... it must be rough to live in your household. Here is the proper response: "Wow, amazing performers, but I think I'll pass"
Rare rrraydon Posted January 22, 2014 #180 Share Posted January 22, 2014 REALLY??...I don't pay money to listen to people sing on land, I certainly wouldn't on a cruise ship..smh. WOW

I will pass I'm pretty sure with the listed artists, there will be no rioting!!! I would pay to see some of them if they are performing on my cruise... Otherwise I can stay in the Casino!!! ;) Mike
hihosilvers Posted January 22, 2014 #183 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Can't wait for a list of dates. Should we assume that cruises with shows will be conveniently priced higher? Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk

Dave85 Posted January 22, 2014 #186 Share Posted January 22, 2014 I was hoping this announcement would be an enhancement of their EVERY cruise entertainment, not just an extra cost option of a few select sailings. I'm sorry, but I'm very disappointed.

jlindemer Posted January 22, 2014 #188 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Doubtful - from what's already been discussed. I said this on FB. If the prices of fares go up so much that they are competing with Disney and Royal Carribean...I will sail on one of their ships. Carnival doesn't have what they have. I sail them so I can take multiple cruises per year. I cannot do that if the fares go up.

Thebosn1 Posted January 22, 2014 #193 Share Posted January 22, 2014 WOW, I hope that isn't what the announcement is. I can't think of ANY act that I'd pay an additional 50 to 90 to see, and not only that, they'd be taking up the space/time in the theater, so that I couldn't enjoy the "included" entertainment that I like so much. What a waste! "SKY" I have no idea, but if it is something like that then taking away free stuff and replacing it with things you have to pay for would be the exact reason they would do it. They have been doing it in almost every aspect of every cruise for years now. Pay to eat places, pay for character breakfast, etc.

Platinum Perk Downgrades, Food Downgrades, Entertainment Downgrades, no new ports, ships removed from NYC, Baltimore, Boston, Europe, Playlist Productions, and now a list of D list singers. You can see broadway productions on the more recent RCI ships and even the newest NCL ships on EVERY cruise and the cost is included in the fare...
