The lists of highly talented popular artists are:

• Chicago

• Daughtry

• Foreigner

• Gavin DeGraw

• Jennifer Hudson

• Jewel

• Kansas

• Lady Antebellum

• LeAnn Rimes

• Martina McBride

• Olivia Newton-John

• REO Speedwagon

• STYX

• Trace Adkins

I'd pay to see about half of them. The rest? Not my cup of tea. But still - it might be fun.

Don't think we'll see Trace Adkins after what just happened on his last cruise entertainment booking

Carnival is starting to become a big joke. Very upset I rushed to platinum on this line instead of on RCL...... Every upgrade of late seems like a downgrade

So, Carnival get's top notch performances, unlike any other cruise line, and instead of raising everyone's rates, they charge a fee, just like on land, and Just like some of their pay restaurants (Like other cruise lines)... and this upsets you?????

How is this a downgrade?

I would imagine nothing would make you happy. You aren't being forced to see the performers, you aren't forced to pay anything else, you aren't forced to do anything... it must be rough to live in your household.

Here is the proper response: "Wow, amazing performers, but I think I'll pass"

I've already seen 4 of them...would like to see 3 more listed. And it really isn't a bad price!

Seats are first come first served. Riots will ensue. I will pass

I'm pretty sure with the listed artists, there will be no rioting!!!

I would pay to see some of them if they are performing on my cruise... Otherwise I can stay in the Casino!!! ;)

Doubtful - from what's already been discussed.

I said this on FB. If the prices of fares go up so much that they are competing with Disney and Royal Carribean...I will sail on one of their ships.

Carnival doesn't have what they have. I sail them so I can take multiple cruises per year. I cannot do that if the fares go up.

Bah! I wouldn't pay to see one of them.

Heck, I don't want to see any of them for free.

More room for those that do.:D

While I may not book a cruise specifically to see these acts, I would consider paying $20 for some, if on my cruise.

WOW, I hope that isn't what the announcement is. I can't think of ANY act that I'd pay an additional 50 to 90 to see, and not only that, they'd be taking up the space/time in the theater, so that I couldn't enjoy the "included" entertainment that I like so much. What a waste!

"SKY"

I have no idea, but if it is something like that then taking away free stuff and replacing it with things you have to pay for would be the exact reason they would do it. They have been doing it in almost every aspect of every cruise for years now. Pay to eat places, pay for character breakfast, etc.

None that I'd pay to see. But I have enjoyed headliners on RCI without an additional charge.

How is this an upgrade..... Lets recap everything over the past few years...... Platinum Perk Downgrades, Food Downgrades, Entertainment Downgrades, no new ports, ships removed from NYC, Baltimore, Boston, Europe, Playlist Productions, and now a list of D list singers. Sorry but it must be rough to live in your household if you consider the above a benefit

That's exactly what I'm thinking. You can see broadway productions on the more recent RCI ships and even the newest NCL ships on EVERY cruise and the cost is included in the fare...

Can't believe that people are complaining how they don't go to concerts, therefore this is bad. Get over it.

Exactly! lol. If you don't go to concerts, don't go to one on the ship. Folks are just sitting there with their fingers on the keyboard waiting to start griping. Shocker on this board.

Hey, hey now.. Jennifer Hudson is far from "D" list..

She is an Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy winner.
