Princess Cruise Ships MAITRES D'HOTEL date last reported on ship3

 

Thanks for doing this. We haven't been on a Princess ship for a while, but will be doing the world cruise on the Sea Princess next month. I had hoped to findout whom the Maitre d' will be, but even Princess emails don't show it.

 

I will let you know when we find out.

It seems as if Neville (Saldana?) is no longer on the Crown. Can anyone confirm that?

 

He left for his vacation in late February, and will be joining the Star in May (at least as of a few days ago). Plans change at the last minute, but this is his most up-to-date assignment.

My in-laws just had Silvio on the Ruby and did not have positive things to say about him compared to the others they've experienced.

We just had Silvio in February and he was fine. He does not have a constant appearance in the dining rooms, but allows his Head Waiters the respect they deserve. While aboard, we met the BEST head waiter...Petar. He is awesome and really cares about ensuring a great dining experience either in the MDR or the buffet. Petar cooked additional pasta for us, and was solving a situation prior to it happening. While Silvio was available when requested, Petar was always available and handled everything.

Please see my previous post. Silvio is fine.....but do TRY to get in Petar 's(Head Waiter) section. He is beyond awesome. And if you do have him, please tell him that Don and Suzie said hello!

Does anyone know of a female Maitre D' on Princess, past or present? The question was raised and I've never seen one yet some have said absolutely seen at least two female Maitre D's on Princess. So I'm now curious. :)

I have never seen nor heard of a female Maitre 'd. As we all know, there are several female head waiters and they may be confused as a Maitre 'd.

 

Hope all has been well for you since that great Anniversary Cruise!! We are boarding the Pacific again in May for the Panama Canal. I am anxious to be on the Pacific again, as the December experience was so great.

I also think that the Head Waiters are being confused for Maitre D's. There are several female Head Waiters, and when they are in charge of one of the specialty restaurants or one of the main dining rooms, it is a simple mistake to make.
