roohound Posted February 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2014 I think this is from the Silhouette and not the Reflection, but I suspect they will be the same, if not identical. jkgourmet Posted February 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2014 If he wants "fine whiskeys, scotch, etc" get the premium package. PS - we are quite happy with the classic package, but what you are describing is EXACTLY what the premium package offers. KY Deb Posted February 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2014 What gin, vodka, bourbon, etc. are included in the Classic package? I will probably upgrade to the premium for the wine selection, but DH is a beer drinker with an occasional Beefeater or Tanguray and tonic thrown in. Or a Crown Royal. I've seen lists for the Premium package but not the Classic. Does anyone know if those are in the Classic ?
upwarduk Posted February 18, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) My husband and I will be sailing on Celebrity Reflection in April. Does anyone have a menu or price list for the Michael's Club? My husband is interested in the fine whiskeys, scotches, cognacs and bourbons prices. I have read on these boards that Michael's Club on all ships will become VIP Lounge by mid April. Century has already been converted. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1988933&page=4 Post 64 Host Andy-Live from Century (February 2014) As for the Michaels Club, it has been converted to a VIP lounge. This is the very first Michaels Club to undergo the conversion. The conversion involved adding a desk for the VIP lounge concierge. The new concierge on this ship is a WONDERFUL lady. The new VIP lounge is open 24 hours a day for VIP's only. On this ship those in a Century, Royal or Penthouse suite plus Zenith cruisers are considered VIP's. They chose the Century suites since there are only a few of them. There are WAY too many Sky suites on here. In total there are 40-50 guests considered VIP's. During embarkation all VIP's were escorted from the terminal to the lounge by shore side staff. All of the other ships will have the Michaels Club converted to a VIP lounge by early April. On all other ships the VIP's are the Celebrity, Royal & Penthouse guests plus Zenith. Edited February 18, 2014 by upwarduk

hockeymom21 Posted February 19, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2014 We are just off the Reflection. Michael's does not open until 5:00 PM. IMNiles Posted February 19, 2014 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2014 So if Michael's is a VIP club what happens to all the beer? Can only VIPs get it, or is it being served in a different lounge?
cle-guy Posted February 19, 2014 #14 Share Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) My snarky answer was going to be " about $7000 or higher - the cost of a suite. :D Truly, I think it is kind of a waste for such a few passengers to use that space in such limited times. Of course, I also think on the S class ships, its a silly space, at least on M there's a window. I think it would have ben better just to dedicate a specialty restaurant for Breakfast/lunch and then give unlimited specialty for dinner. Oh well.... But on all my cruises, I have honestly always totally forgotten about it except for waiting lounge during boarding. I wonder if they will move and integrate into Passport Bar ( or whatever it's called deck 3/guest service level) Edited February 19, 2014 by cle-guy
gecko12 Posted February 20, 2014 #15 Share Posted February 20, 2014 I got the premium alcohol package so my husband could enjoy all the craft beers that Michaels offers. We'll be sailing the middle of April do you think they'll change Michaels by than? If so, will they offer a good beer selection at another bar? perodise Posted February 20, 2014 #16 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Michael's is not a "VIP" lounge. It is for everyone's use. In regards to the craft beers in Michaels, I have read in other posts that some are available(Dogfish 90 at the Sunset Bar) in other bars but I have also read that they are not. It's probably a ship by ship and cruise by cruise hit or miss. I'm hoping they are available at other bars because Michael's doesn't open to 7 pm on most days on the Summitt which i am departing on 2/22. Hope to meet other beer snobs to enjoy some great craft beers with. Rogue Dead Guy is one of my favorites
cle-guy Posted February 20, 2014 #17 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Michael's is not a "VIP" lounge. It is for everyone's use. Celebrity within the last week announced their new Suite Perks program, and Michaels is becoming a VIP Lounge. They started the roll-out on Century already, and will be in all ships by next April. From the X press release dated Feb 12, 2014: VIP lounge - A private VIP lounge, Michael's Club, will be available to guests staying in Celebrity, Signature, Royal, Penthouse and Reflection suites. A dedicated Concierge service and unique food and beverage experiences by Celebrity's James Beard-featured chef will be provided to guests. http://www.usatoday.com/story/cruiselog/2014/02/13/celebrity-cruises-suites-perks/5447379/ http://www.celebritycruises.com/aboutceleb/tabLanding.do?pagename=footer_pages_about_celebrity#footer_pages_about_celebrity_press_room_tab/aboutceleb/pressRoomDetails.do%3Fevent_date=2014-02-12&event_type=press_release&sequence_code=A&pageNumber=
C 2 C Posted February 20, 2014 #18 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Michael's is not a "VIP" lounge. It is for everyone's use. Sorry to disagree. I'm presently in Michael's on Century which was converted to a private/concierge/suite/Zenith lounge last week. There is a person in charge of converting Michael's on each ship over the next few weeks. I've heard that the beer will be moved to Cellar Masters just as the wine dispensers are being removed. miched Posted February 20, 2014 #19 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Micheals club was never full during any cruise that I was on just for its microbrew beer. I think they could eliminate all of those beers and that bar as a beer bar. I enjoy beer and whenever I got a beer form there they were old and skunky because of lack of sales. There are a lot of reasons for that and one is that the bar was rarely open to all of the passengers. It always seemed to be closed off for some private function so passengers would just tend to not even bother to go there as it would be a waste of time. It wouldn't be any loss to turn it into something else. 🌅🚢🍸🍻🍺

We just moved up to deck 12 in ss 1232 and was wondering which cabin you had and any other thoughts about the century you may have as this is our first time on this ship? Thanks Dave We were in 1234 for the 3 night cruise right after the dry dock. It was relatively large but not well laid out - the TV was directly over the sofa. Our toilet did not flush properly the first day until our next door neighbor called and complained at 3 AM. We were never able to get the cabin as warm as desired, even with having a tech come out. I had to sleep with a sweatshirt and gloves on. Our butler was great although we really did not use him much. There is a jogging track above these cabins and you can hear them in the morning. We were actually much happier with the Concierge cabin on one of the subsequent sailings. Sent from my LG-E980 using Forums mobile app
