It cant be the only nightclub on the ship..?

No, I'm not sure. But if you look at the deck plans, it is in the space that was Bliss on GA and BA. It's not labeled as a nightclub, but neither is anything else. Personally, I'm thinking (hoping?) that the 5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar is the late night hotspot. We shall see. Also, unlike Ga and BA, Spice H2O is Adults Only at night, too. It might be more nightclubbish than before.

 

Bliss on Getaway was always deserted on my cruise. I've heard that a lot. I'm glad they ditched it to try other things.

In my experience, Bliss on Breakaway/Getaway is usually pretty crowded between midnight and 2am. Just to offer another point of view :)

I suppose if anyone wandered in there, it would be crowded, since it is so tiny. LOL! I know on our Epic cruise it was a terrific spot that was always lively. Anyway, it does not exist on Escape, and nothing else is listed as being a nightclub. I am very excited about the lounge options, and I look forward to seeing how NCL utilizes the spaces and how the personalities of the various establishments evolve.

We are leaving this weekend on the GEM to Canada, somebody that was on the GEM last week posted on my roll call that they starting testing new menus on the MDR, supposedly the ones for the ESCAPE. I will find out with the restaurant manager at the M&G and will post the update when we come back, possible with pics, can't promise that, no much time to play with posting pictures but I'll try :rolleyes:.

it looked to me like the new "Margaritaville" restaurant will be situated where the Cuban restaurant is on the Getaway? I sure enjoyed that on the Getaway...just a short walk from the pool area and kind of open to the pool deck...just perfect for Margaretaville. Hoping to book the Escape in 2016.

We are curious to know if there will be a new menu at the Haven Restaurant on Escape, or will it be the same fare as the GA? It was so good on the GA, we were completely blown away by the quality of the food.

 

 

Oooohhhh...good question! Had not even considered new menus for the Haven! [emoji12]

Yes the haven is also revamping there menu. Rollout to begin fleet wide late summer early fall.

BTW, I am a TV guy too, wonder if we work for the same network? I work for the one with a lot of Crime Dramas that use acronyms as their title, one in particular is military in nature and includes some head slapping and a numbered list of rules. :)

Next Saturday 10am Papenberg local time the megablock of Ovation of the Seas will be floated out.

 

Not sure if they will move Escape forward (towards the doors) and start working on the 2nd OotS megablock in the rear of the building hall after that?

Hoping to see some pics of Escape from local German media and/or ship spotters like Andreas Depping! :D

 

I couldn't agree more! I'd love to see some hi-res shots of the aft without the scaffolds. That way, I might be able to get out the calipers and get a better estimate of the relative sizes of the balconies. That, and I'm going through withdrawal.

I'm sailing on Escape in November as well! Also first time on Norwegian so I can't compare NCL ships..

 

I'm booked in a balcony on deck 10 that is on an angle on one of the sections that juts out a bit. It appears our balcony will be triangular, which I find very cool... am I right?
