Everything.. ESCAPE (live 29 Oct 2015!)

Recommended Posts

Looking for opinions from the experts on the H6's. Any thoughts which deck(s) will have the door to the balcony from the bedroom? Also, largest to smallest? Thanks!

We're all still guessing at this point and assuming based on construction photos. The "configuration A" (2nd door to balcony) decks and size (largest to smallest) are still unknown other than guessing.

Travel agent update: just received word that all cruises to nowhere have been canceled/modified

Yes...and it's ALL cruise lines. This was posted earlier today by John Heald - regarding CTN currently scheduled for Carnival:

"Disappointing news :

Due to recent changes in how ships are cleared into and out of the United States by U.S. officials, certain short duration cruises without a foreign port of call are subject to itinerary changes beginning in 2016 . Unfortunately, this means that we will not be permitted to operate cruises-to-nowhere.

This does include the Carnival Vista's 3 day cruise to nowhere from New York.

Those who are booked on our cruises to nowhere will receive a letter very soon explaining this.

So sorry.

Edit - this applies to all cruise lines"

HUH? Cancelled by whom? If a cruise is going to GSC is that to "nowhere"?

Isn't this big enough news that it should have its own thread? Or are there no cruises to nowhere schedule for NCL in 2016?

A quick look;

Breakaway Feb 10 2017 2night CTN

Is the only one under 2 nights to nowhere in 2016 and further by NCL?

Don't be surprised if that gets cancelled. No more CTN on any foreign flagged ships from any line a starting in 2016

I trying to help a some people who are thinking about booking a balcony cabin on the Escape for next April and it would have to accommodate 3 or 4. Trying a mock booking with 3 or 4 in a cabin shows a designation of: Family balcony, Large, Mid-ship balcony or just balcony. Since the cabins should be similar to the Breakaway, I am wonder if anyone would know what is the sleeping arrangement? Meaning twins beds for the first 2 and what does the 1 or 2 other people sleep on?

The vast majority of standard quads balconies or minisuites are an upper and lower, upper pulls out from the ceiling and the couch turns into a bed.

I posted this pic of a minisuite already but here it is again, again not my pic,

A cabin for 3 would not have the upper, only the couch bed.

Not sure why I can't quote post #2090 but as far as NCL Escape being the third largest ship in the industry, it may be the third largest category but not ship.

There are currently 2 Oasis class ships (Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas) with a 3rd coming soon (Harmony of the Seas). There is currently one Quantum class ship (Quantum of the Seas) with another 2 coming soon (Anthem of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas).

Having just got off the Quantum of the Seas end April I have to say it was the most beautiful ship I have ever been on. I personally enjoyed it a lot more than Oasis.

NOW I am so excited to cruise on this NCL Escape ship. It looks like it is going to be an amazing ship also. So happy I booked 2 weeks B2B on it.

Nothing special about Family Balcony except location. Those cabins are near the Splash Academy.

Not on Escape.

Splash academy is on deck 5 only near family OV (O1 and O2) and insides. Closest balconies are on deck 8 and are standard B2 balconies.

I did the Getaway's Transatlantic Crossing and have booked The Escape's Transatlantic Crossing. I will be celebrating my 69th birthday on this Crossing.

Mandy

Happy birthday in advanced. I'd love to see pics of your bday celebration on this coming up voyage. Sounds like it will be fantastic! [emoji1]

I can't see Bliss Ultra Lounge on the Escape deck plans. Is it there? Or have they changed it to another nightclub? :)

oh i hope not. We were in club bliss in feb on the getaway, we sat there all night whilst a girl wanted to dance and have some fun and drink but her dad would lot leave her side. We watched them for hours. :D

In the end she gave up trying to get rid of him and just left with him. Bless her heart. but dad was not giving up. lol. :)

Love bliss. good memories.

Bliss has been replaced with the Skyline Bar.

"SKYLINE BAR

Located near the Norwegian Escape Casino, this brand-new venue offers entertainment, special events and signature cocktails. Plus, we’re upping the ante with tabletop poker screens and state-of-the-art LED screens showcasing gorgeous skylines."

Talking about NCL Bliss..

The competition is on.. MSC and Costa added large and expanded waterfronts to their new designs and AIDA (Germany) is too:

Amazing width of that deck on the almost finished AIDAprima, wow!
