Rebooking with new buy one get one 1/2 off deal

Recommended Posts

Because most can just cancel and rebook under a new booking. "New bookings" really only means anything after final payment.

I may be in the minority, but I have never seen a buy one half off (BOHO) promotion before.

Personally, if I were you, I would book now. You essentially get 25% off for pax 1&2 (standard price, which is less than 1&2, for any additional pax in each cabin).

FWIW, I was very surprised to be able to use this promotion, having already booked for early 2015. I did not have to cancel/rebook, and saved a substantial amount, plus the Diamond discount.

If you are referring to the On Board Booking Next Cruise certificate, we used ours to book an Alaska cruise for next July and saved over $1000 with the 50% off sale, no problem. Got the $100 OBC as well as the balcony discount. Can't do it on line, had to call RCI.

I just called to try to take advantage of the price drop, but was told no can do because the base rate I booked at was lower then current. My booking was $879pp, the web site showing $734pp. I can't figure this out :( What number did you call to make the change?

Glad to hear about folks saving but unfortunately the savings don't apply to every cruise. The sale price for the 2015 Panama cruise I've got booked is actually $700 higher. I guess I already got a good deal :)

There's no way to predict pricing. I'd book now to take advantage of the 50% off second guest promo.

Thank You. When I priced at the promo rates yesterday the difference was only two+ hundred dollars for two cabins versus the price for the same cabins few days ago before sale. They have changed something with C&A credit I was getting without 50% off promo so at the end there were no significant savings. I am paying for both cabins, so I really would prefer the bottom dollar rate.

I don't think it is unreasonable to prefer the bottom dollar rate. Unfortunately, that takes the ability to accurately predict the future.

I had my TA check three cruises I had booked as a solo but only one came up with at discount - $210 - when I do a dummy booking I come up with $263 discount. Can't decide if I'll follow it up with more time on the phone. amazed at the large discounts that some are getting.

Call back. C&A 800 526 9723. I just got off the phone with them. Only a 6 minute hold time.

I didn't know about the sale either and do not get promo emails from RCI. Last night I noticed that the Dec. 20 Christmas cruise on the Liberty was about 50% less than what we paid on the Mariner 2012 and this was for 3 staterooms rather than 2. So, I patiently sat on hold this afternoon for over 30 minutes which is also highly unusual for me as I usually hang up. Our regular outbound agent wasn't in so another nice gentleman helped me. I assume he thought I knew about the sale as he didn't mention it. It wasn't until I got the invoices that I saw BOGOHO. For our group, it was an extremely good deal saving over $2000.00 ! I'd book additional cruises, however, Dec. 20th is the only time the Liberty goes to Costa Maya in 2015. It's our favorite port … we have no interest in Jamaica, Belize, Labadee, etc. Personal preference, I suppose.

Attention all advance planners!!! Check your e-mail!

RCI is having an amazing BOGO sale right now, that runs through the end of May 2014! This may only be open to C&A members...not sure, but it's worth looking into! ;)

I just booked an accessible Promenade room for the seven day 1/24/2016 (yes 2016) sailing out of Port Canaveral, going to CocoCay, St. Maarten & St. Thomas for only (~~~~drumroll~~~~) $1030, including taxes & port fees!

We had some other discounts (Onboard booking credit, C&A Platinum, Senior, etc.) - but a seven day trip that includes room and meals to the eastern Caribbean for under $75/pp per day is a steal! No money out of my pocket today, because we purchased an onboard, open sailing "Next Cruise" certificate for $200 on our last cruise, which also gives us an instant onboard credit!!! And for those on a budget, inside cabins that don't require accessible features are dirt cheap! :)

We just got back from our 2014 sailing on Navigator of the Seas, we've got a group trip booked on the Brilliance for 2015 and now we're booked on the Freedom for 2016! I was bursting at the seams with excitement, and I knew my fellow Cruise Critic buddies would understand why. Hope y'all get a chance to take advantage of this sale.

Happy Cruising!!!

Great price! We came out to about $1,100 for Adventure of the Seas, Promenade room, April 2016. Just off the Navigator as well! Had I not already booked something in 2015 that is non-refundable, we would probably add a repositioning down the West or East coast. ;)

Thanks Bob. I have my TA working on it so hopefully I will get some good news from her tomorrow morning. :)

Just talked with our TA and she was able to get us the discount for our Radiance cruise next May - price reduced almost $1700. Thanks to CC I never would have thought to ask for this since the fine print refers to new bookings. Thanks everyone! :)

I moved from a window to balcony for about $90 pp!! Very excited!

BTW, when I was price checking, the website just showed a reduced price. When I got the paperwork from my TA it had a higher price but with all the BOGOHO discounts.

Booking number was the same so I assume I got an adjustment and not a rebook (?).

That's correct, a new booking would have changed the booking number.

If you are asking your TA to get a price adjustment on a current booking and he/she is successful can you please post on here and let us aussies know

My TA tried twice today and got through to the call centre that is overseas somewhere and got told twice that they can't adjust the price. The Terms and Conditions in australia are different to those on the US website!!!

Hi Miamia, I use a US travel agent so that I can access the US terms and conditions. The first time we cruised we booked through an Australian agent and were not able to access price drops and nor did they give us OBC. Since switching to a US agent I get both.

I will let you know how it works out but certainly my bookings are eligible for price drops.

Does anyone have an experience with booking Grandure for February, Presidents' week out of Baltimore, MD ? It is 11 months from now. Are we more likely to get better prices if we book some time in December/January or does this ship usually gets sold out for Presidents' week? We need two cabins, one balcony and the second one inside or OV that can accommodate three people? Thank You.

Olya1972-

We are going on the Grandeur out of Baltimore during President's week, but in 2016. We have 2 cabins; a panoramic ocean view (supposedly 220sq ft) and an aft JS. I called today and saved $1200 (well, $1190 to be precise) from my original booking. Hold time was quite long, but obviously well worth it. I thought about upgrading the JS to a GS for the same price, but opted for the savings instead.

So easy to do. I just said I wanted to take advantage of the price drop/sale, and boom, done. $1200 to donate to the casino.
