Milestone cruises and what happens

On our 50th cruise with Princess, we started getting extra treats in our stateroom; flowers; chocolate covered strawberries; wine, etc. I actually thought it was coming from the casino as I was supporting it quite well;) We were then invited on an escorted bridge tour with some rather VIP type people and I asked why we were there. I was told that these were the things done for milestone cruises.

My question then becomes; what are the next milestone cruises (75th: 100th)? and does Princess also do something special on them?

I have heard of folks having over a hundred cruises but never thought to ask. If it can't be answered on Cruise Critic-there is no answer-:D

Thanks

It is for every 25 cruises beginning with your 50th Princess cruise. For that one cruise you get the "special" perks. On our 75th, we were told we could have breakfast in Sabintins each morning...we chose not to as we were traveling with another couple and wanted to eat with them. :)

Does Princess increase the loyalty OBC. I know it starts around the 20th cruise but there is a schedule for that too.

They increase the loyalty credit every 10 cruises...it starts at the 21st with a $25.00 OBC per cabin, the 31st is is $50.00, 41st is $75.00 and 51st is $100.00. Unfortunately it stops there...so after 51 cruises you get $100.00 each time. :)

Search Pia"s posts. She mentioned they were on 75th cruise and got

some special goodies.

Yes, our last cruise was #75 and we did in fact have breakfast in Sabatini's every morning. We also received a lovely floral arrangement and those chocolate covered strawberries kept showing up until I told them I didn't want them anymore. We did get a tour of the bridge; first time for us on Princess. Since this is a fairly new program, we had already passed #50 when it was instituted.

It's been 3 months; can't recall what else, but I did talk about it in the Live.

On our 50th Princess cruise we received a floral bouquet, a bottle of nice champagne, chocolate covered strawberries (much nicer than the usual Elite ones) and a bridge tour. Next milestone cruise is our 75th, and we'll be able to dine in Sabatinis for breakfast just that cruise in addition to receiving the gifts from the 50th cruise. Need to make sure that's a nice loooonnnngggg cruise!

Is the breakfast Sabatini's for the whole cruise? Is it offered on the 50 Th or 51 St cruise?

Breakfast in Sabatini's is at #75; not before. Ours was an 11 day cruise. Was going to hold off an save it for the 30 day, but good thing I didn't since I had to cancel the 30 day.

Just checking if this is up to date as I thought it only increased every 25 cruises

Hubby has completed 19 cruises. We are sailing in a PH suite for our next cruise and will get 2 credits. So am I correct to assume that we will not get the $25 OBC until our 22nd cruise?

The first cruise after you have earned that 20th credit which you will earn on your 20th cruise (along with a 21st credit).

So you will get it on your 21st cruise having in the previously earned 21 credits.

There are two different scenarios that were being asked... #1-Milestone cruises (50th, 75th ect.- every 25 cruises). #2-Loyalty starting at the 21st cruise and then going up every 10 cruises until the maximum at 51 cruises.

Hope this helps explain. :)

That Milestone cruise must be something new. I've never heard it mentioned before this thread.

Now, does it take place when your card actually reads #50 or after the 50 th cruise? It would be a shame to waste the perk on a 5 day trip.

It takes place when your card reads 49, which means it's your 50th cruise. I got the impression there is very little wiggle room on this. Our situation was unique in that we were doing logical cruises (B2B booked as one), and so by the time our cruise history registered as our 50th cruise, we were on our 52nd, and that became a huge issue because we never actually had a cruise card that said 49 prior cruises, and never had an "official" 50th cruise. It took some special dispensation from Santa Clarita for us to be recognized for our 50th on our 52nd. But anyone doing one cruise at a time would not have that issue.

If it's based on the number on your card, then it's NOT based on the # of cruises. It's based on your number of cruise credits. They are not the same thing.
