Rare John&LaLa Posted January 29, 2015 #851 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Yay! My fear was that I would get down to Orlando tonight to find out the sailing was cancelled. A certain poster may have influenced me to think that way. . . anyway, glad to hear the good news. At the airport in Boston now waiting for the first leg of my journey to Atlanta. Then on to MCO tonight. One night in a dive hotel, and then free shuttle service back to the airport tomorrow morning, meet my guest and take the free transfers together. I hope you don't feel I meant to discourage you. Have fun.
Cuizer2 Posted January 29, 2015 #852 Share Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) How does one check? Sneak into the dry dock and see if anything is missing. Edited January 29, 2015 by Cuizer2
counsdr Posted January 29, 2015 #853 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Kiggiss just posted a picture of our ship sailing away from the Freeport dock! Marine Traffic isn't showing her yet :(
Rare bobmacliberty Posted January 29, 2015 #854 Share Posted January 29, 2015 The Freeport AIS has been down for a few weeks. Maybe Royal hacked the Freeport AIS and shut it down so that we wouldn't be able to track Freedom. They'll do anything to keep us from getting the info that we need! ;)
bob123 Posted January 30, 2015 #855 Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) FOTS is three hours out of St Maarten, as of 7PM EST, according to one of the ship tracking websites. Unfortunately, Cruise Critic webpage will not allow me to actually post the website. Don't know why. bob123 Edited January 30, 2015 by bob123

Unfortunately, Cruise Critic webpage will not allow me to actually post the website. Don't know why. bob123 Freedom just left Freeport. How would it possibly be 3 hours out of St Maarten? Is that site a site that shows the actual position or one of the ones that shows the position it is supposed to be in based on the scheduled itinerary? That sounds like where it should be had it not cancelled its cruise for this week.
GEARADRIFT Posted January 30, 2015 #858 Share Posted January 30, 2015 With the Freeport AIS offline, FOS will have to round the corner and be off the CONUS coastline before she pops up on AIS. What a tease. LOL Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Cuizer2 Posted January 30, 2015 #859 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Freedom just left Freeport. How would it possibly be 3 hours out of St Maarten? Check a globe. St. Maarten is downhill from Freeport. That allows the ship to travel much faster. :D
GEARADRIFT Posted January 30, 2015 #860 Share Posted January 30, 2015 LOL! She'll use the gravitational pull around St. Maarten and sling back around and meet the Port Canaveral Pilot ATC first light! Now those are some upgrades. A2Mich Posted January 30, 2015 #862 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Just looked at Marine Traffic and I think you are looking at Carnival Freedom.:) Just checked as well. Freedom of the Seas shows nearly due east of Palm Bay/Melbourne, so she should be docking soon.
Thetrail Posted January 30, 2015 #863 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Looks like they had some flooding in the crew deck on the FOTS. This pic was posted on the 27th so this may have happened on the 25th/26th. -Sean New carpet being installed, not water in the crew deck!.:D
