swiss2619 Posted April 30, 2016 #701 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Ok let's start a freshNo name calling, it is rather childish:) Points you see on slot machines with card inserted are Mickey Mouse points These get you key chains and crappy gifts These are not to be confused with RATED points. If your card displayed 2400 or 3700 points these will be redeemable at the cage for such like trinkets. You must use before you disembark as they are useless once you leave the ship And DO NOT have any bearing on FCC RATED POINTS These are not the amount you see when you insert your card into a machine. Only the Pit Boss or Casino Host have your point accumulation These are the TRUE points that get you FCC's CR VIP Invitation Spurschick already posted the required minimum to be a member Not doubting you got a certificate, not doubting you won some money FACT 400pts RATED POINTS = $100 off of a FUTURE BOOKED CRUISE So 2400 RATED POINTS = $600 off a FUTURE BOOKED CRUISE, Not BS actually fact 1 RATED POINT on slots = $5 SPEND 2400 RATED POINTS = $12,000 SPEND (win/loss) To be invited $5 minimum spin for 4 hrs daily slots $50 minimum per box on Blackjack 4hrs daily $25 minimum on all the other table games 4 hrs daily $25 minimum roulette per spin Look on RC website, this is actually documented there:) You, sir, have the patience of a saint! I've learned so much on the casino threads from you and Otown Nick. Thanks! The way it seems to be going with CR I think I will NOT be in the casino this coming cruise much at all. No incentive really. Good luck and great cruising to you! Swiss

micruiser2002 Posted April 30, 2016 #705 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Well now I am very unhappy with the new program. I just did a 5 night sailing on IOS, I checked a picture I took on the last night and I had over 3600 points, yet all I got was a certificate for an inside cabin or $500. I do not understand how they are making these decisions. At a minimum they need to look at average nightly play not total, because you cannot compare earning 3600 points on a 10 night cruise vs 3600 points on a 5 night cruise.:mad:

Also, they do not include promo or double points. If you played a slot with double points it doesn't count and that sucks Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted April 30, 2016 #707 Share Posted April 30, 2016 I'll add to the CHIP PORN... This was from a morning session at Planet Hollywood in 2009. Three shoes where I was playing solo and FLAT BETTING! It was like I couldn't lose. I often think about what I would have walked away with if I had been pressing my bets! We were staying in a pretty cool (Will Smith) suite there - complete with movie memorabilia. That run of the cards was MOST NEEDED, as this was the morning of the day we left, and that single win GOT ME BACK TO EVEN for the week! (so, by my standards - a winning trip) !! Tom

RFerrington Posted April 30, 2016 #716 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Forgive me if this has already been answered somewhere previously...but when you book a new cruise, using a certificate, do they give you the reduce CR rate PLUS a price reduction equal to the value of the certificate ? While I have been a CR VIP for a number of years, I have never used a certificate to book a new cruise. I have only used a certificate as OBC for an existing cruise (I know that this is was a one-time deal...they don't usually do this but they made a one-time exception for us and converted the value of the cert ($1K) into OBC). We used a certificate $VALUE, and used that $VALUE to reduce the balance due on an already booked CR reduced rate. So YES:D I know a few others who have also had success with this Worth the Call to CR to get them to apply it to an existing booking. Edit: For new bookings I am not 100% sure, but no harm in seeing if they will Probably best to book at CR rate firstly, then ask to apply certificate. Let us know how you get on:) Happy Days! maryjaden Posted April 30, 2016 #718 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for keeping us updated on the program. I am not sailing until November (I used my last rebate toward this cruise because I was told I had to do something with it by March). Hopefully we will have a definite program in place prior to that, if so I may book something sooner. Right now the benefits from spending the extra money in the casino doesn't seem promising. Of course, my husband would probably like that...:D
cruisejess Posted April 30, 2016 #719 Share Posted April 30, 2016 On our March Granduer cruise there were machines that always gave double points. They had signs on them. So, there were morning double points, late night double point and on some machines always double points.

Very interesting and good to know Maybe something they are trying out as part of the NEW program to confuse everyone about how many real points they have:D In our experience Double points are for the whole casino on slots, typically 9am-11am on sea days and another time slot in the late evening. With no consistency from ship to ship, and no transparency from CR on the New program I guess we will continue to see variables outside the normality for some time to come;) Happy Days! I agree about the lack of transparency with the program and the points. I am going on the Anthem in a couple of weeks and will play lightly. Also it seems that the new certificates reward lots of casino players and have no correlation to Club Royal.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app Agree with your statement Just not combinable with C&A offers or any BOGO offers. With the FCC it looks like they are allowing the CR VIP members to apply these to existing bookings and possibly future bookings. It also looks like they are also giving out FCC's to Non CR VIP members also NEW program in full swing;)

Yes it looks like anyone can now get a FCC, if people drop the cash to receive a FCC' all good in my eyes. But they have to explain to these people the REAL point system from the Mickey Mouse point system :) Just hoping they do not forget us CR members in the process, they know we are not too happy with the lack of information And they also have seen a reduction in CR VIP spending, just from a handful of members I have been speaking with. We know the limit to reach, and beyond that there is no incentive to spend anymore;) Happy Days! Edited April 30, 2016 by PompeySailor
