Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted May 19, 2016 #776 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Good to hear on the sticker still being the desired route to reward CR VIP loyal members:) 2400 will get you a free FCC OV Cabin for x2 (or $500 off a future booking) 3600 will get you a free FCC Balcony for x2 (or $750 off a future booking) there may be some differences with what I have quoted as others have reported 2400 gets you $600.. give or take. Our last $750 FCC was actually an OV cabin for x2, so that even broke from the normality;) but if you are a long standing CR VIP member, go for the 3600 REAL POINTS and then quit. nothing more to be offered once you reach that REAL point total. Unless they change the point system again soon Best of luck!:) They need a point goal to get Star class accommodations! Wait a minute, that would probably involve mortgaging your house to put that much $$ into play! :) Tom
jsausley Posted May 19, 2016 #777 Share Posted May 19, 2016 So I used an FCC to book a free cruise for next week (5 night on Empress) but my wife received a $200 voucher that has to be used by September 1st and we won't be cruising again outside of next week's cruise. We do, however, have a cruise booked in March 2017 -- do you guys think CR would allow us to use that $200 voucher toward that cruise? I don't have the voucher with me at work but I might have to give them a call tomorrow to try...

They let us do that on a couple of cruises for later this year. Booked one in hubby's name and got my vouchers and vice versa. They also let us combine balcony and a oceanview for junior, grand even royal suites depending on the sailings.
Artemus Posted May 20, 2016 #779 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Thank you Pompey. However I saw on my TV, in a message from the casino, that 2400 gets an inside cabin and I heard them announce in the casino last night that 3600 gets an OV and 4800 gets a balcony. Is there any updates when finilazing new program? How they measure points for table players? Bec I am playing I think same but sometimes getting balcony and sometime JS ...How many point for JS for exp? Also when you travel B2B is casino count these two together or each individually? For exp can they upgrade ny cabin from Balcony to JS for 2nd leg using my first leg play or like always need to wait for regular process?
somerandomidiot Posted May 20, 2016 #781 Share Posted May 20, 2016 For exp can they upgrade ny cabin from Balcony to JS for 2nd leg using my first leg play or like always need to wait for regular process? I was curious about that too. I have one cruise coming up before a b2b. If i can only get one cert during a cruise, I'll be able to use the cert on the 1st leg but I won't have anything for the 2nd leg. I assume the cert from the 1st leg will be useless for the 2nd since everything will have been paid for already.

Thanks for the update Artemus Looks like pretty consistent on the point level for award At least on cc we are seeing some transparency Looks like CR are finally getting a bit of this program moving all along On my calculations that's 6000 for a JS 7200 for a GS 8400 for an OS Call it a nice round 10,000 for an RS... And so on Just making an outlandish assumption on the higher suite awards, I have no solid Intel that this is such;)

Bee Each cruise on a B2B would be treated individually w.r.t FCC's But no harm in calling CR from the ship to see if they can apply to 2nd leg as some form of OBC. Worth a shot:) Ask Linda, as I know she was able to call CR when onboard once for something Casino related. Best of Luck. Also w.r.t JS and points needed, I know when we got a GS comped we were well in excess of 8000 points, (the Old program though) and that was all from Blackjack in the good ole days:D

I've had 8-12k points on a few sailings and got no where near a free GS or OS before...hoping the new tiered program follows these new FCC points guidelines! I too like a lot of others have backed off gambling much till new program rolls out...if ever lol Mark

gaylemh Posted May 20, 2016 #791 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Are the points the same no matter how long the cruise? It's a lot easier to get to 2400 points on a 12 night than a 5 night.

If they don't allow you to use it in 2017, ask for Supervisor. Many of us have been able to use certificates for 2017 cruises.
Artemus Posted May 20, 2016 #794 Share Posted May 20, 2016 My wife has 3,470 points right now with only tonight to go. Does anyone know the cutoff time to get to 3,600 points? As long as the Casino Host is still at her desk giving out certificates, which should be till closing. You should have no problem getting a certificate s little bit later. 4800 Points=Balcony 3600 Points =Oceanview 2400 Points=Inside Good Luck Edited May 21, 2016 by Life is Good Cruising

On my last cruise, the casino host was sick for the last few days, so I spoke to another member of the casino staff would said it would be delivered to my stateroom overnight before disembarkation. Sure enough, it was outside my door the next morning.

Hi Linda - Paul and I are taking advantage of an offer from Club Royale and we are going on the Anthem August 20 (2016). 5 days Bermuda - we've never been to Bermuda so we are excited about a new island! Paul wants to go back on the Anthem. (I have never done a cruise less than 7 days...) I think you are on the Anthem often. Will you be on when we are on? (We have received many nice offers but because of family events and other things already on our calendars we haven't been able to take advantage of everything offered. -Cheryl
Artemus Posted May 21, 2016 #799 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Thank you, Linda. You were right. You can play til the casino closes. We got close to 3600 and the casino host was nice enough to print us a certificate for an OV cabin. We actually had 500 points less than we thought before last night because of the bonus points, so we had more ground to make up than we thought. I think it was Pompey who talked about the bonus points previously. I'm sure a lot of people get fooled by the bonus points and think they have more actual points than they do. Daghis Posted May 21, 2016 #800 Share Posted May 21, 2016 I'm sure a lot of people get fooled by the bonus points and think they have more actual points than they do. That's a very good point. I remembering noting that at the beginning of my last cruise, but by the time I got to the end of the cruise, I saw I had gotten over 10,000 points and I had completely forgotten that some portion of that number was from the double-points promotions they occasionally had.
