Happy Bee Posted May 27, 2016 #851 Share Posted May 27, 2016 Thank you. Our next is on Anthem, B2B, Oct 15 & 20, plus holding a few certificates, so may squeeze in one more before October. According to your schedule of cruises, I see your available in the month of October. CR is having their annual Golf Event, 5 Night sailing to Bermuda, October 15. Prices are good and your put into their group booking, could be free for some. No need to play golf, but if you want to play, it's a fun event played on a PGA course. CR goes above and beyond for these events. It would be great to see you guys again, along with Marc and Maryjaden :) They have 2 Roulette tables for you Nick :) Enjoy all your cruises! Hi Linda, lets extend your October vacation and travel w us Oct 29th ;-)
jd10367 Posted July 30, 2016 #852 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Wow.. Nothing new since May? My next cruise is in Sept. I got a couple of hundred off my aft balcony by CR for playing in Feb, but our discount was so HUGE from being on the Anthem for the storm, they couldn't get us a better price. Hopefully I win on the Serenade to get a free something.
Rare aubreyc1988 Posted July 30, 2016 #853 Share Posted July 30, 2016 I strictly use CR to book my cruises. Prior, I have used a TA and had to call CR to give them name of TA and permission for CR to speak to my TA. Call CR, they'll tell you the process. Double points on slots do not count, which is correct. For slot players, these are the points needed for a free cruise, if less than 2400 points, you may get a dollar amount off a cruise. 2400 points free inside room 3600 points free oceanview room 4800 points free balcony Slots or Tables, the casino has some kind of a theoretical formula which is based on money won, money lost and time spent gambling. No one knows the formula but RCI. what's the coin in for the 1 point? 10 to 1?

Life is Good Cruising Posted July 30, 2016 #856 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Oh thats not bad - In vegas mlife casinos, for the video poker and specialty slots its 10-1! Just like Mlife, $10=1 point on VP on RCI ships.
Rare aubreyc1988 Posted July 30, 2016 #857 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Just like Mlife, $10=1 point on VP on RCI ships. so 5-1 are what, regular slots? And how do you determine regular slots from the specialty?
Life is Good Cruising Posted July 30, 2016 #858 Share Posted July 30, 2016 so 5-1 are what, regular slots? And how do you determine regular slots from the specialty? $5=1 point is correct for regular slots. Sailed on Anthem numerous times and as a slot player I am not aware of any specialty slots on board Anthem.

Cruise for vacation Posted January 29, 2017 #860 Share Posted January 29, 2017 I have been reading the various threads and I am a little confused. It appears that RCL is no longer giving certificate? I've noticed that there is a discuss about certificates used on future cruises, there are certificates for cash. So what exactly does RCL offer for members? Roadranger73 Posted January 30, 2017 #861 Share Posted January 30, 2017 I travel on RC strictly through Casino Royale. Traveling on the Brilliance on March 2nd and March 25th. A lot people have complained about the certificate and the cruises available. When I was on the Anthem at the end of May, half the cruises on my certificate had already sailed or to short of time left to book a nice room. I booked Saturday night, and the CR agent said they have heard this complaint and have extended the time frame of future cruises available with your certificate. To clarify, I am cruising twice in March which is the end of the first quarter of the year. The certificate will list cruises from January (remember this is March) until the end of the second quarter, which is June. So CR sent me and extended list of "free cruises" that list and additional quarter or through September rather than to June only. All certificates usually offer a free inside stateroom or up to $500 off of any cruise within the next year. I have found their best offers in the mail a few weeks after I get back. Just a handful, but there are some balcony, oceanview and stateroom offers or $750 off a future cruise. Keep in mind the above post about the points and how many are needed for better rooms. If anyone has heard about cancelling certificates completely, please shout out. Jay
Lady Hudson Posted January 30, 2017 #862 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Just got off Grandeur a few weeks ago. My sister got a free cruise certificate, my husband $400 off, me $200 off a cruise. We all booked the Anthem the end of March so the certificates are still in use. My sister did have to call Casino Royals to get a list of additional cruises since there were few left on the current list. Katherine
Life is Good Cruising Posted January 30, 2017 #863 Share Posted January 30, 2017 I have been reading the various threads and I am a little confused. It appears that RCL is no longer giving certificate? I've noticed that there is a discuss about certificates used on future cruises, there are certificates for cash. So what exactly does RCL offer for members? Certificates are still being handed out. Some certificates have a dollar amount off a future cruise while other certificates offer you complimentary cruise for 2 in an Inside, Oceanview or Balcony on specific ships and on specific dates. If the dates/ships on the certificate don't work for your travel schedule, you can use the trade in value to a cruise of your choice. As far as the perks, it all depends on your level of play at the tables or on the slots. Additional perks such as invites to CR events along with additional complimentary cruises are sent via snail mail. Since umpteen  changes have been made to the player's program in the past few months, it would be best to call Club Royale for the up to date info. on the latest and the greatest of perks ;) Best of luck to you in the casino :)

NewfieGuy1972 Posted February 8, 2017 #865 Share Posted February 8, 2017 I sailed on the Rhapsody of the seas for a 10 night cruise in October, played mostly Blackjack, avg bet $100/hand. Towards the end of the cruise I received a certificate in my stateroom for a free cruise, in a balcony stateroom. Attached was a list of available cruises. My wife received a coupon for $200 off her next cruise! When we arrived home, I called Casino Royale as the cruise list that was specified did not contain a cruise that we were interested in, the person on the phone told me that there have been a few more cruises added for the and they sent me an updated list. Upon further review, nothing caught our eye, and time was running out as we only had 30 days to use the certificate. One more call to Casino Royale and she then told us that we could use the value of the certificate toward ANY cruise, and that they were combinable. My "FREE" cruise translated into $1000 off, and my wife received $200 off. I ended up booking a 9 night southern Caribbean leaving next week in a Jr. Suite and using the $1200 "Certificate" toward the already, heavily discounted fare (via casino rate). Just thought I'd share my experiences, And I'll chime back in here once my cruise has been completed and let you know what they "offer" me based on my play this upcoming cruise! PS: I have never received any offers via snail mail, I do live in Canada and that was my first Cruise with RCI (so not sure if that factors in or not)

RFerrington Posted February 8, 2017 #867 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Recently used 2 certificates received during our Dec 23 sailing of NAV. In the past, we have always had the "cash value" of our certificates applied directly to an existing cruise. I had read in other similar threads that they were no longer allowing that. So it's true - at least, it was in our case. Sure, they would have applied them to our upcoming Adventure cruise, but they would have repriced the cruise at the current rate. That was no good....the cruise fare price has increase well beyond the value of the 2 certificates so that was a no-go. We were forced (of course, nobody is forced to book a new cruise !) to book a new cruise but the good news is...they allowed us to take advantage of both the full cash value of both certificates as well as the fully discounted casino rate. So aside from them not allowing us to apply the certificates to an existing booking (at the original rate) the certificates were fairly valuable. I had read (in other similar threads) that they were making you "choose" - either deduct the value of the certificates or get the casino rate - but that is not the case. You can do both. BTW, this was not a cruise from their "list". We are sailing on the Grandeur to Bermuda in May. Because we have to fly (to Florida), a cruise from Florida (using the certificates) just does not meet our needs but sailing out of Baltimore or NYC will. So it worked out. Nick, Interesting on the tier levels, have been hearing the tiers had been scrapped and also renamed from original concept. Do you have a photo of the Seapass showing the tier level, also with that being on the card, did they bother putting on a sticker for drinks or find the PRIME indicate to bar staff you were VIP. Sail in 4 weeks so guess we will possibly see a SIGNATURE on our cards;) Happy Days!

Linda - I assume you are going .... is that an Andy performance? I am not as we have family travel weekends (our wonderful grandchildren in California). Grands take priority over everything ... Have not been able to take advantage of the invites from CR this year. We are cruising Greek Islands in May. (Not a CR event but will be a great trip).
