Merion_Mom Posted November 15, 2014 Author #451 Share Posted November 15, 2014 pretty pretty clouds: Bonaire has pretty & colorful license plates, too. prickly pear cactus: The pier from which I am going to go snorkeling, but NOT my boat. It's still out with the morning group. It POURED while we were waiting. Fortunately, I didn't mind getting soaked, since I was planning on jumping into the ocean soon. I took NO pictures of the snorkeling excursion, because I stowed all of my gear inside the cabin on the catamaran to get it out of the rain. :(

Merion_Mom Posted November 15, 2014 Author #457 Share Posted November 15, 2014 New friends Tedi and Rick introduced me to the Dark 'n' Stormy. It's ginger beer topped carefully with Gosling's Black Rum. Best prepared and served by the one and only Savio in the 19th Hole Bar on Deck 14. Topo Gigio Posted November 15, 2014 #460 Share Posted November 15, 2014 That day when you guys were here in Curacao, it rained very hard that morning, and usually it becomes very hot after that.

iheartbda Posted November 15, 2014 #463 Share Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) Hey, the Dark and Stormy is a Bermuda drink.:p Is the pink salt harvested as an uber table salt? Watching House Hunters and they are in Curacao. Saw the pontoon bridge and all the pastel buildings.:) All I can think of with the goats is the infamous Jay Smith, He was described as having eyes like goats. Edited November 15, 2014 by iheartbda
Lilyrosemum Posted November 15, 2014 #464 Share Posted November 15, 2014 Yesterday I decided not to order any dessert after dinner. So my waiter brought this: ALL of the Pinnacles on the repo cruise (who showed up): Captain's Table, Formal Night #2: Portofino Menu: Love the picture of the Nothing written in Chocolate. On every cruise I take I always say the first night, no bread...no desert. They work so hard to get me to take the bread and they bring me the deserts automatically. The waiters I love are the ones who get it...I don't want the bread or the desert. But i do want the Bar Waiter so I can drink my desert!!!!!! So that always works out for all of us, lol! Ocean Boy Posted November 15, 2014 #465 Share Posted November 15, 2014 And then a pilot boat came along and wanted to go though, and the pontoon bridge was opened for it. What surprised me is that they didn't make people get OFF the bridge. They stayed on while it moved open and then closed! I was going to mention that. I never loose my fascination with this bridge. The first time we were on Curacao and we stayed on the bridge while it opened. I was so surprised that we could. Some things still bring out the little kid in me! Ocean Boy Posted November 15, 2014 #466 Share Posted November 15, 2014 I really enjoyed your pictures of Bonaire. This is one island that I still have not made it to. The closest that I have been is seening the lights as we passed by at night while sailing on Adventure. This island seems to be easier to get to on Princess than it is on RCI. emmy Posted November 15, 2014 #471 Share Posted November 15, 2014 Leave it to the Queen of the Cams to come through! Yes, she is the best !! :) :) Good Morning... thank you!! I was watching Explorer arrive and had forgotten about the damaged life boat not even knowing if it was on port or starboard. When she started to pass the webcam and I could see this life boat hanging & then the camera zoomed in and I was able to get a close up capture...timing ;)
BND Posted November 15, 2014 #472 Share Posted November 15, 2014 We had an Elton John act one night. (Craig A. Meyer) I enjoyed it. (again, it is hard to get a good picture of a spotlighted performer) He performed on GR on our 1 Nov cruise also. Can't remember which day, but he obviously got off one ship and onto the other. He was fabulous lol. He sounds just like Elton and looks a lot like a younger one.
