Taxi fare from FLL pier to FLL airport

Would appreciate if anyone knows approx cost for 2 for the above, also are their plenty of cabs available for such a short trip.

It is usually $15-20 depending on traffic. We have never waited more than 10-15 minutes for a taxi. That can also depend on how many ships are in port that day.

Traffic patterns / traffic can definitely make it a tad longer

 

We have family in Fort Lauderdale... We have often taken cabs airport to port, port to beach area (hotel strip on A1A) ... Seems everything ends up in the $ 20 to $ 25 range once you add in a tip.

 

Cab service all over Fort Lauderdale is really good, rarely do we wait more than 5 or 10 minutes curbside, and almost never call for a cab day or night.

Will someone please tell me which cab company you recommend for Ft. Lauderdale? I want to have the number to call if needed. I know that they will give us the next available cab at the airport and port, but we'll need a cab while at our hotel etc.

We did it about two weeks ago. With light traffic the fare was $15.xx plus tip. There were about 6 cruise ships in port at the time and we still had no problem getting a cab.

Did it 2 days ago on a Friday from a Holland America pier. Traffic was light. Fare was $14.50 plus tip.

I have never experienced a wait for taxis at the pier. Others have, likely difference is how busy the port is and the time you get off the ship.

We took a taxi this past Sunday, 11/9. The cost for 3 adults was $15.00 plus tip. We did not reserve ahead of time, there were 5 ships in port and we waited about a 1/2 hour for a taxi. We got to the airport (FLL) around 11 am for our 1:15 pm flight.

No not necessary at all with this flight time...be in one of the earlier groups off also no need to self disembarke with your luggage...using a porter may help to speed things up if you're concerned.

I would check directly with the Carnival board...but more than likely it's 6-6:30am.

Any hotel can call a cab for you....just ask at the front desk.

I just came back Thursday taxi driver went the longer route meter came to 15.70 we came from airport they add on airport fee from airport to cruise ship was only 14.10 meter total. A few years ago the driver went over the causeway to ship from airport it was 20.

How hard is it to get a van taxi at the airport and pier? We are a family of four, and I am not a small guy, so a sedan might be tight. I doubt it would fit our luggage also.
