scomar Posted January 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) If travel steamers (not to mention Aerial Drones, there goes my fun of peaking in the bridge windows with my drone :( ) are not allowed on RCI ships then what method do you use to remove your wrinkles? For your clothes not your skin:D Besides paying the ship to have them steamed. Thanks! Edited January 12, 2015 by scomar

crazy4themouse Posted January 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Downy Wrinkle Releaser This. I don't even own an iron -- If wrinkles don't fall out by either using that miracle spray, hanging the item in a steamy bathroom for a while, or tossing the item in the dryer with a few ice cubes, then oh well. :p But those methods work 99% of the time, and the first two work very well on a cruise. leighuf Posted January 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Back in the day I use to sneak a steamer onboard. Later, I tried the shower method. Now... I utilize the ship's services and pack as many wrinkle free items as possible. My husband last wore his suit on our last cruise. He will get it dry cleaned ON our next cruise instead of here in NY. The prices aren't terrible.
cruiseguy1016 Posted January 12, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) We hang them in the shower, put the shower nozzle on the floor so the clothes don't get wet and then turn the shower on hot for a while. We've also had good luck packing the clothes in dry cleaner bags. Edited January 12, 2015 by cruiseguy1016
Christine Frances Posted January 12, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Same issue on Celebrity! None of the clothes I buy/bring for cruising wrinkle. For DH's shirts we will send them out for pressing if necessary but usually they look fine with his jacket (not noticeable). Wrapping in cleaner bags helps as well as packing folders. I don't check other people clothes for wrinkles but if you come up with a solution for the other kind let me know:D

Chirpbird Posted January 12, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 12, 2015 I'm on a tropical vacation with lots of pools, DoDs, oceans and sweating in my future. I triple dog dare anyone to come up to me and say my clothes are wrinkled.

Diver2014 Posted January 12, 2015 #16 Share Posted January 12, 2015 I roll my clothes before putting them in a suitcase - gives you more room and they don't wrinkle. Fold long sleeves over onto the front, fold in half then roll up. Dresses I just roll up, don't fold them in half first. Trousers, just roll up. Unroll them on the ship, hang them up in the closet and you're good to go.
Rare orville99 Posted January 12, 2015 #17 Share Posted January 12, 2015 As long as the wrinkles in my clothes don't outnumber the wrinkles in my face, I'm good to go:D
cruisenfever Posted January 12, 2015 #18 Share Posted January 12, 2015 We use packing cubes and folders along with dry cleaner bags and our clothes are 95% wrinkle free when unpacked and hung up. Have to be careful with Downy Wrinkle Release as it can leave stains on certain fabrics.

I figure everyone has some, so they are less noticeable. Shirley, Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

JMG Posted January 13, 2015 #25 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Vodka! One spray of vodka on the clothes, one spray in the mouth. One spray on the clothes, two sprays in the mouth...keep repeating until you could care less about wrinkles!
