The cruise industry will love to read about this:rolleyes: (not).

A few years ago I would have used all those excuses to avoid cruising, as I have always had a sensitive stomach and feared ruining a family vacation. Then my H twisted my arm and convinced me to try a short cruise, and I became a cruise-junkie! Nothing less than one per year will satisfy me at this point! The only time I have felt queasy was on a snorkeling trip on a catamaran in Aruba (it sure is windy there!), and in the Aegean Sea while on a boat trip to the island of Delos (another windy day) I choose my side trips carefully now.

Only read the first article so far - if this is not a perfect example of the way the news media sensationalizes things I don't know what is. Except for the seasickness part, virtually all of the other 'risks' are the same risks you encounter going about everyday life, certainly going on any vacation anywhere.

The sad part is that some people (and I have a daughter-in-law and granddaughter who qualify:() read this type of drivel and believe all of it and don't want to cruise. How crazy!!

Totally agree with Phoenix! That article is so lame it's laughable, yet many people will take it as fact.

"Don't over eat, don't over drink, stay out of the sun, don't talk to strangers on the big, bad cruise ship!" Seriously lame.....:eek:
