Pencruise Posted March 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Am currently visiting the UK and cannot log on to the US website, it keeps defaulting to the .co.uk website. Have searched the page and site map and cannot see where to change it to the US site, can anyone help please ?.
truffles2 Posted March 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2015 I believe you have to be logged into the site before you can change countries. If you log in, you will find the option at the top right side of the page.
drey_p Posted March 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2015 That sounds about right. Royal don't like people in the UK seeing the U.S. website as we'd realise just how much extra they are charging us. You'll have to download and install third party software in order to be able to get onto the U.S. site. Software like Hola works pretty well. Ourusualbeach Posted March 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2015 You will need to use a VPN such as tunnelbear. https://www.tunnelbear.com
hallasm Posted March 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Try a link like this http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/home.do - then you might not be redirected to the UK web. Incredibly annoying that in all cases be redirected to the local web - I travel a lot and are not interested in the local web page:mad::mad::mad:

I seem to remember on the old website you could just change your place of residence. Will try downloading the suggested software, otherwise will have to wait till get back to the States I guess. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and it is on the left. Unfortunately in the UK they use your IP address to redirect you automatically to the UK site. bogofman Posted March 25, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 25, 2015 WOW, WOW ,WOW really shocked pricing the same cruise we booked on the UK site, the US site is way more expensive and does not include OBC or drinks packages etc. Maybe its not always more expensive to book from UK
bogofman Posted March 25, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Just checked a cruise that is out of the US we are interested in for 2016 prices definitely cheaper on US site but the offers are different US Site has BOGO half with cruise and premium drinks UK site for same cruise has higher prices but FREE premium drinks + Free Grads for both I'm sure these will equate out to be very similar ££ and ££ to RCI I'm Convinced RCI know exactly the amount they want for each cabin and adjust the packages/deals to attract different customers at different times
framboesa Posted March 25, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 25, 2015 I'm having the same issue here in Portugal since 4 weeks ago.I asked and was told that its because of the major changes in US website. drey_p Posted March 25, 2015 #15 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Another vote for TUNNELBEAR - Generous limited use is free:D The is the one thing I didn't like about TunnelBear - the fact that you were limited unless you paid money. I did find the entire "bear" theme very amusing - particularly when I uninstalled it. I've been using Hola and it appears to be unlimited. It installs a browser plug in so you don't even have to leave your browser to activate it.
kezz Posted March 26, 2015 #16 Share Posted March 26, 2015 Or you could try adding.... /?wuc=us to the end of the domain address: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/?wuc=us That works Can finally have a look at what people in the USA talk about. My Deck is sold out for my cruise, and was a lot more expensive. Thanks for the help.
