Live and learn! I had to weigh the difference between flying Rouge or staying onboard....
I vote for staying on board :)

Windy and choppy but it's not rough. Life is good
We made it home last night after a successful day of travel. We made so many new friends and had such a wonderful cruise. Wish we were still on Westerdam but, leaving one ship just means we'll be boarding another one in the future.

Thanks to each and every one of you who made the cruise such a wonderful time. We were absolutely a great group! :)

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program......
Thanks for reporting in. It was a great pleasure to meet you and enjoy your company.

DH flies home today. I made sure he is awake!!

Hoping you will have smoother sailing and get to see some great coastline. More fun and good times to be had. Thanks for posting your comments and loved hearing about your children too! Were they able to keep active on sea days and how was the children's program?

For sure. It's just my preference. I think some folks are surprised by how cold it is. I remember one person I met thinking they would be able to sit outside and read. it hasn't been doable on my cruises. I'm sure you'll hear that it's been beautiful and sunny from some. Different experiences.

On my verandah right now :)

Don't know if I would try to do the walk on the promenade as LIzzie did though. It would be tough with the wind

1 of 4 - the people who came late may be 'dine your way' people. They come in on the 2nd deck, but can be seated at any empty table. We have a 2 person table by us That has had different people at it every night. So with any luck, the open mouth eater lady will get seated at a different table tonight!

Woke up to glorious sunshine here in San Diego. [emoji14] Missing the gentle rolling of the ship that helps me sleep. Won't miss the noisy generator on the roof when we move rooms later.

Hope the newbies from SD don't spoil the rest of the cruise after such a wonderful atmosphere we enjoyed from FLL.

Our friends are taking us to a winery for more wine tasting today. [emoji2] Bet it won't be like Ingo's though.

Thank you. DD and DS love club HAL and The Loft. No program or activity has been repeated. Today, for example, activities include: Art folders, Squirting, Apples to Apples, what's yours like, Pac man tag, Dodge ball domination, Flags and cheers, eye cue test, just to mention a few!

Obnoxious has many of the daily activities and will put them on the fact site.

The quick 3 and 4 day coastals are really hard on the crew. They are very inexpensive and the people can be very demanding and hard on the crew.

We have always tied a coastal with another cruise or two and the crew loves to see us as they really need friendly faces. Last year a woman in the Lido that was on just the coastal told me how to smuggle liquor on board, have gratuities removed the last night, and how to complain and get OBC and free spa stuff. Needless to say my reply was not what she expected. I "may" have mentioned to an officer that she "may" have smuggled a lot of booze on board.

So, give the "gang" a lot of extra love on the way up to Vancouver- they will need it :)

We've had crew tell us they love 3-5 day cruises. Lots of newbies who spend and spend! The bar guys are overwhelmed, with orders and tips.

We have only been continuing pax on these cruises short segment cruises, but can say we've seen the ships change from sedate everything to wild almost-everything. Lots of full lounges, busy casino, moderately busy shops and full spas.
I confess...I read the first paragraph of a letter in the mail slot across the hall. They were not at muster drill; I recognized the cabin number. Saw them enter the cabin in the evening when going to pick up DD and DS. Able bodied but English not their first language. The letter started by saying they were not at the mandatory safety drill and they had to attend one set for 2:00 today, Tuesday.

I didn't read further. It was a full page of text.

DD was repulsed by the woman at the next table at dinner who eats with her mouth open. Enough said.

This is the first morning that I will have no sunrise picture. It is grey and choppy out there.
[B] Oh, my......

What if those folks came back to their cabin and saw you reading their mail. I'd be so embarrassed. :o

It never occurred to me that someone might be reading invitations, notes etc that may be placed in a guests' mailbox.

In any case, it was interesting information.

Lots of love to our crew for sure and I know our waiters are happy some of us are still here.

Big beams from the PG staff too :)

I felt sorry for our wine steward last night.

Somehow the ship feels more crowded now despite there being less people!

Space is limited since the stupid art gallery has closed off the entire Explorer's lounge. We ended up having to have our tablet meting in the atrium!!!!! Edited by kazu

It is not warm. High of 16 today, no sun, and top decks roped off for wind.
