You have made it very difficult for me to select my 2015 Thanksgiving cruise. I'm at the itinerary vs. new ship decision. :confused: I was all set to take Carnival Breeze to 4 new islands I haven't experienced - Grand Turk; La Romana, Dominican Republic; Curacao; Aruba. But now after reading your review I'm like scrap it let's go for the NEW SHIP Anthem of the Seas. LOL!!! I'm at a coin toss right now. LOL!!!:D:D

Do they still have a captain party and C&A party?

 

when we were on last November, they held the C & A party in the theater but there is no Captain's Welcome Aboard reception. You had to look in the cruise compass to see what night the captain was available for pictures and that's all he did. No speech no champagne.

Thank you so very much for the informative Live! from the Quantum posts. I followed you each and every day. My DH and I were supposed to be on this sailing but had to cancel due to some family issues. Wish I could have traveled with you. It sounds like you had some really good weather and a great time. We all know how tough tomorrow will be for all of you. I just booked Anthem for the 12 day April 2016 so now I have something to look forward to.

Our numbers for this cruise are: 4400 passengers and 1500 crew for a total of 5900. Just like Oasis class it did not feel crowded at all
