Subscribed. I love to read reviews of cruisers on the same cruise as me and get their perspective. I'm still busy trying to get all my pictures ready before starting my review and needed a break.

It's funny how I'm learning things by reading your review that I didn't even know (like the room service...I didn't realize that our cruise we could still order it without a charge :(). Oh well.

Thanks for taking the time to do the review. I know how much time and work go into those things and once again sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you because I didn't want to interrupt your game. :)

Hey there!! I'm so sorry that we never got to chat, as I was looking forward to meeting you and your family.

Looking forward to your review, as I want to see what you thought of Grand Turk and HMC.

Please feel free and jump in any time and express your opinions.

Your review is making me so excited for my cruise! We leave May 17th and it's my first time on the Pride, first time sailing out of Baltimore. You did our exact itinerary, so you're really setting me up for my cruise :)

Great review and pics! We leave May 3rd on Pride and LOVED Miracle twice so I am sure we will love Pride. Quick question.......we have tried YTD and decided we prefer set dining times. 8:15 works for us. My issue is every time we board the ship I need to go see the Maitre d' and request a table for 2 (we really do like interacting with people on deck and at the pools during the day...but at dinner we enjoy just the 2 of us). I noticed since we are platinum when I request a table/booth for 2 we are granted the request no problem. If I could email the Maitre d' ahead of time that would be AWESOME so I can avoid the long lines to speak with him. How did you get his email address and can you do that? Or are you special:)

Hey mitsugirly!

Welcome Back!

Just a heads up - even the new menu will still have no charge items. There are only a few items that have a charge. Be sure to try the room service chocolate cake - it's amazing! (and still free!)

Jamman, I hate to "bother you" but I was wondering if you know if you can still order a bottle of booze thru room service. I know you can order thru BV, but might want to wait. Also, just to be sure, Pride has the shampoo dispensers in the shower, right? I LOVE Carnival shampoo! :p

Ken Byrne is the Maitre d' on the Pride, and his email is not a secret. it is prmaitred@carnival.com Now would be a good time to email him. Give him your booking #, dining time, your request, and a thank you. He will most likely respond to your email, but if not, you'll get what you asked for.

It's wonderful to see another post from you Jamman54. I've enjoyed your reviews since I joined CC back in 2012, and try not to miss anyone of them. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us!

Thank you for coming along for the ride once again! :)

Hey Karry!! You're NEVER a bother!! I don't think you could ever order a bottle of booze thru room service, but then again, I never tried.

Yes, they still have the dispensers in the showers. They can be seen in post # 63

Shrimp salad was the best thing on the RS menu. Drat!

Everyone should call and still ask for it...maybe they'll bring it back.

Exactly. Mention it when you do your survey. If enough people ask for it, there is a shot at getting it back.

Long winded complaint threads here on CC won't get the job done!!

I read your post wrong, Jeff. I thought you were saying that they have booze dispensers in the showers......imagine that.

I so love your review! I am sailing on May 17 and reading your posts makes it feel so much closer. Just got FTTF today. Wish I could have gotten a cabana, but sadly they are gone. Looking forward to the rest of your review. Thanks!

Thanks for following along. Congrats on getting FTTF. Keep checking on the cabana right to the bitter end, as one could become available. If not, make the Shore Excursion Desk your first stop once on board. Good Luck!!

Did they have a rock band or one something along those lines, on our other trips on Pride , there was a great Phillipino band that played rock and pop

yes, there was a band called the Rocking Dead, that played in the Red Frog Pub, almost every night.

Time to tell you about our first day at sea…..

CP0220.jpg

Being that we were heading south, and our cabin was on the port side, we would be seeing the sunrises the first few mornings. However, by the time we woke up at 7:15am, and sun was already pretty high up in the sky….

CP0221.JPG

It was still a bit cool this morning, but the temperature would rise to the 70’s by the afternoon. The seas were very calm. Our view looking forward……..

Looking aft……

We hung around the cabin until about 9am, and then we made our way to the Seaday Brunch which was held from 8:30am until 1pm in the Normandie Restaurant…..

CP0230.JPG

We brought along our free drink coupons and had our first drinks of the day…..

I always get the huevos rancheros when we go to the brunch, but just as a reminder, that on the ships that have the 2.0 upgrades, they can also be gotten at the Blue Iguana Cantina in the morning…..

CP0228.JPG

Patti and Ryan each had an omelet…..

CP0229.JPG

Afterwards, Patti and Ryan were going to go play the slots, while I made my way up to Serenity. But before heading to the casino, they walked around the ship taking pictures. First stop was the Beauties Night Club, which is on Deck 2 aft…..

They have live music there every night. The band’s name was the Rocking Dead…..
