texasreb Posted September 5, 2023 #4751 Share Posted September 5, 2023 My wife just got a Galveston offer. Harmony 3-17 inside. Or Voyager 4-5 days in April 2024. Well so much for earning PRIME again in late April. She had a larger loss than usual too. The certs showed 7 day cruises from Galveston. BUT that was not so. They were already full. H5n158 Posted September 9, 2023 #4752 Share Posted September 9, 2023 Hi, are there any members here from Europe. I'm wondering if i'll get offers living in Europe, not leaving from European ports isn't such a problem, anyone has any experience with this? Daghis Posted September 9, 2023 Author #4753 Share Posted September 9, 2023 I noticed a new offer appear, but I haven't received the card in the mail with the promotion. Looks like it's the January 28, 2024, on Harmony of the Seas.
jptoz Posted September 9, 2023 #4754 Share Posted September 9, 2023 Hi , I' m new to the casino Royale program. I've reached prime (3400 points). Was looking at the offers and there all $200 -300 off promos. Aren't you supposed to get a "free" cruise for reaching prime, should I contact them. Thanks for any info. You get your FREE inside cruise the year after earning Prime. They may send you better offers before then. After April 1 the free cruise should load into your offers account. Well at least you have free drinks in the casino this year and next. Our offers are not as good as they had been over the years.

betty barnacle Posted September 10, 2023 #4757 Share Posted September 10, 2023 Today we booked the Bold Bets and Bourbon promotion on Harmony out of Galveston on Jan 28. Ours was a Grand Suite with offer 24WWB0102. Anyone else taking an offer for this cruise? I'm so curious what delights the tasting dinner will provide and what the other "special events" will be! Oh, if that were the only reason, that would make sense. Then again, if it made sense, Royal Caribbean/Club Royale probably wouldn't do things that way. I'm getting comped balcony cabins regularly again. Here's my current status:
Daghis Posted September 11, 2023 Author #4760 Share Posted September 11, 2023 (edited) I just got the Bold Bets and Bourbon info, so if anyone wants to see it, you can find it here: Bold Bets and Bourbon (PDF) I just looked a bit further and found four variations: Balcony offer Junior suite offer Grand suite offer Suite offer Edited September 11, 2023 by Daghis
texasreb Posted September 11, 2023 #4761 Share Posted September 11, 2023 (edited) I like Woodford, but did not get the offer. Also I would be just coming off a 2 week Carnival cruise. Not sure if I can stand that 2 week cruise in mid January. Not sure how crazy CDC WHO might be by then. Here's my current status: We haven't cruised in years but the offers started coming in weekly again about a year ago. Mostly balcony offers for me, Junior Suites for my husband, sometimes with freeplay ranging from 200-700 dollars. My guess is there is an algorithm that sees they haven't gotten any money from us in a few years so it keeps putting a bigger carrot on the stick to get us back. I guess the right carrot finally arrived and we took it.
Daghis Posted September 14, 2023 Author #4763 Share Posted September 14, 2023 I got a new offer today (23JAN102) for a comped balcony/oceanview (for two) on select 4-9 night sailings in January. What's interesting is that I've not seen a trade-in value mentioned for one of these offers in quite a while (if at all).
Rare JessyCruises Posted September 19, 2023 #4764 Share Posted September 19, 2023 Was anyone on the 1st of the Signature cruises on Wonder? Just wondering what swag was given out. We are on the Oct 15th one and was hoping to know how much space to leave in my suitcase 😂
yogislayer Posted September 22, 2023 #4765 Share Posted September 22, 2023 Is anybody in the United States recently getting Casino Royale free cruise offers for Europe or Asia? If so, can you give examples and codes? I get tons for cruises leaving out to the U.S., but none for leaving out of overseas ports.

Daghis Posted September 25, 2023 Author #4767 Share Posted September 25, 2023 They didn't have that policy already? I've joked about the idea of booking a cruise and then letting my husband go solo, but I would never do that.

We make Prime, use a few offers and our annual and don’t bother with the program much else these days. 😎 We very rarely even speak to the hosts onboard, we are no longer part of a VIP program, just a number and it’s not worth chasing other levels. We actually get better offers from Hard Rock casinos for Royal and X cruises than we do from the respective cruise lines. We got a free 6 night on Symphony Junior Suite (PF&T) obviously for us to pay and booked through Hard Rock DW just went down to the casino today to pick up another freebie And for both Royal and X

I tried to interact with the host, but even while standing at his or her (don't recall) desk, I felt like they didn't want to take the time to interact. One of the 2 or 3 times I tried to stop by, I walked away after a minute or two of not even being acknowledged standing there at their desk. I felt that I got much more out of the Club Royale experience when it was by-invitation-only (after 2,000 points earned on one cruise). The perks were very straightforward (discount on your cruise or cash at the casino cashier), and I felt like they (both landside and hosts) really tried to make us "VIPs" feel special. I still have very fond memories of my early-ish days of being a "VIP". I was traveling with ~20 friends. I had commented that we were going to be dining at Portofino later in the week. I guess my play was pretty good (and it wasn't even that much by later years' standards) as he comped the meal for all of us in the party and even comped $200 for wine. It's this kind of treatment that made me want to spend more in the casino (!) to be treated so nicely. Yeah, bad psychology in action, but that was the truth. I've heard that if a person who booked with an offer is a no show then they charge full price to card on file for the person that does sail. We have a casino offer booked for January where DH and I combined offers. He is now not able to go so I was going to call this week and see if he doesn't go can I still go without paying a fortune for our JS.
Daghis Posted September 27, 2023 Author #4772 Share Posted September 27, 2023 I've not personally heard about retroactive charging, but the way I figured they'd handle it is to 1) stop giving offers to that member, and maybe 2) cancel offers already extended (allowing the member to pay). #2 is obviously a severe outcome that should be reserved for abuse, which I hope isn't happening. From what I've seen, though, is that there seems to be a disconnect between landside operations and actual happenings onboard. I had learned some time ago (I don't know its current state) that if you were flying out of Las Vegas, it didn't pay to gamble at the hotel offering you perks on the last day because the lower amount of play on that last day would lower your Average Daily Theoretical (ADT), which then could lower your offers. For Royal Caribbean, I've suspected that if you accept a casino offer and go on the cruise but never go in the casino, no update is made to your ADT, thus you continue to get the same kinds of offers. It's almost as if you were never there in the first place. I have no idea whether this is true, but I don't think it'd surprise me.

I was on a comped cruise and didn't even play my free play (the Pinnacle $8) But then a friend pointed out that my card was taken for Casino comped drinks at the bar, so the Casino knows I was there and DIDN'T play. oooops. I did still get comps, but they've dried up as I haven't sailed the reserved ones yet. I plan to play and have fun on them!
