Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

I wouldn't be surprised if we take only 1 more sailing with RCCL.  We are booked on Wonder in Feb of 2024 and have about 600 points to get to prime which we will hit easily.  That will get us one more annual prime certificate.

Carnival is sending us a crazy amount of offers and we are actually just about to pull the trigger on a 14 day Europe sailing in June of 2025.  100 each deposit with 100 back in OBC, and of course pay taxes and port fees in an oceanview.  Unsure how long the offers will continue with Carnival but it appears they want us more than RCCL at the moment.

I just went onto clubroyaleoffers.com site and are offers are there but noticed the header shows 0 for tier credits and everything else is blank.   Anyone else have this issue?    Royal's IT at their finest😁

Mine is the same.

New offer today (23CTH102)

Of note: In addition to Florida sailings from all 4 major ports, there are 14 sailings from Galveston, 10 from Los Angeles, 4 from Baltimore, and 4 from Cape Liberty.

Also new is freeplay being conditional on making a guarantee booking.

I booked one of the cruises from Bayonne for March 31st because April 7th was sold out of casino balcony cabins.  What was odd is that I was given the option of a guaranty balcony plus $200 of free play or I could book an assigned cabin.  I like to gamble so I took the guaranty pluss $200.

Not exactly. Just this past week I started getting emails for a new cruiser. He (?) had completed a 5 day cruise and played 182 points. I contacted Club Royale with the C&A number. Got email stating they fixed the error. Well maybe ???? We shall see. The email actually claimed my long standing account had been associated with multiple users !!

I honestly would love to know how this happens.  We have had it happen a couple of times.  Once your email account gets messed up, things go from bad to worse.  I quit trying to get our straightened out.  I haven't gotten an email or snail mail offer from Royal in a very VERY long time.  We just earn our offers onboard and don't worry about the monthlies.

Ditto  - it has been years since I have seen an offer in the mail or through email even though supposedly the email issue has been corrected for me multiple times. I do see offers on the website, but I’m not bothering trying to “fix” anything again because I don’t think it’s truly fixable.

We booked two of those offers because they aren’t as bad as they initially look.  The missing info that would be extremely helpful is that it is a BOGO based on a “special price”. The special price is available only when you call. One of ours, a four-night on the Serenade worked out to $89 pp plus port fees/taxes. I don’t remember what the fare was online, but it was well over that $178.  It was definitely worth the phone call.

We looked into it also but it was going to be well over $1000 for both of us to go. No thanks.

Ouch!  Makes me wonder how they calculate the “special price” and why we received a good one.

I should have said, but failed to, that on our offer, it was for an inside cabin, which I will not do...so our price quote included a cabin upgrade for both of us.  I should have said that originally.  It wasn't an upgrade to a suite or anything....just a balcony room, but it was definitely for MORE than just adding an additional person.

We took the inside, then successfully Royal Up’d to a center hump balcony for $20 pp. Total was $425. We were very lucky with this one.

Still though, it is not a full casino COMP.  We would ONLY ever book a full comp of the base fare.  We've never actually paid for a base fare on any cruise, nor do we plan on it.  Our first cruise was via MyVegas and ever since then we've received full comp from RCCL on the base fare.  We have used royal Up several times and have gotten balconies etc.

Well, I just had to setup a login and new password. WE just did 5 day Voyager of the Seas. Missed docking at Costa Maya on Wed Jan 24. Instead we floated around the Cozumel area. Then docked when a another ship left. We spent the night there so casino was closed. We leave Cozumel late Thursday. casino opens then closes 2 A.M. Friday opens again 8 A.M. Storm hits us about 2 P.M. and casino closes not to open back up.

Could not finish and points for certs or card level. Could not redeem points for Free Play. Who at Royal do we complain to ? Roughly casino only open 3 days.

Oh a row of slots fell over. They were removed early on. Ship well back on course by 5 P.M.

I know that NCL will automatically cash in leftover points for OBC, but I don't recall whether that's a Casino Royale practice. That would've helped alleviate some of that inconvenience at least. Of course, the OBC would need to be refundable to be truly useful.

The hosts seemed dis-organized. Should have addressed our concerns. Line to cashiers was open for a long time and backed up. Other passengers coming in to use as indoor smoking in front corner. Rest of the casino was blocked and patrolled lol.

Hey, Marc !!

I don't usually have enough points left to worry about but it seems to me that under normal circumstances (I know that this VY situation was not "normal") there is a minimum threshold at which points can be converted to OBC but I don't recall what that threshold is.  It's always well above whatever chincy number of points I have !  😁

It's not quite apt, but you'd think that Royal Caribbean would show more interest in "the hands that feed [them]".

I swear that Royal Caribbean/Casino Royale continue to show that they are either unable or just don't care to address the various issues they have. I called Royal Caribbean in early December to stop receiving offers, but they keep coming. It used to be that I couldn't get RC to send me any offers, and now I can't get them to stop. (My husband and I have completely given up on RC based on our past several post-pandemic cruises, and I don't need to get offers that have zero interest for me.)
